About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Jan 2018.
Lost Creek Golf Club is located on the southwestern edge of Fort Worth and labels itself “the best golf value in Fort Worth.” The golf course, designed by Leon Howard in 1971, has changed ownership too many times to count and is now a public course. Howard’s design utilizes elevated tees and a tree-lined creek to add character to the course.
While there are two long par 4s, most holes play in the mid-300-yard range, making it a relatively short layout at only 6,388 yards. Holes of note are the 433-yard 13th, featuring a creek that crosses in front of the tee and pinches the fairway along the left side, and the difficult No. 18, where the creek cuts across the fairway twice, making it a long 526-yard hole.
The best tip for approach shots is to keep the ball below the hole, as most of the greens slope from back to front.

In better shape, but still needs more attention.
The course is really in better shape than it usually is, but greens were recently aerated & there was no mention of this when setting tee time or checking in. LC is charging too much, even for the weekend. Booked too many people back to back, my group teed off 20 min past tee time. Pace of play was slow. They are paying more attention to watering tee boxes & fairways, but need to do better job mowing & weeding. Bathrooms were atrocious. This is one of my favorite courses because of hills & layout.
Hidden Course with great upsides.
This course is not well known if you arent from this side of town. It is a little hard to find, but is worth the trek. The overal course layout will challenge both the long and short aspects of your game. Several sand bunkers and water hazards will keep you on your toes. The staff is friendly and courteous, carts are well maintained and clean, and the rates are very competative with other courses in the area with simillar features.
The course offers great evelation from several tee boxes !
The greens can be hit or miss but usually maintained and offer a nice challenge. A fun course at a great value!
Lost creek
Been playing there for years. Always a good value.
Don't waste your time
Course is a joke. Horrible condition, horrible greens.... Not worth $35 just to try it out. golfnow should remove this course if they wish to keep a good name.
COURSE NEEDS ATTENTION
SUMMER IN TEXAS, COURSES ARE ALWAYS BUSY, NO SURPRISE. THIS COURSE WAS REALLY BACKED UP AND MOST OF THE GROUPS IN FRONT OF US WHERE TWOSOMES! THEN THERE WAS I GUESS A RESIDENT WHO OBVIOUSLY PLAYED THE COURSE ALL THE TIME, SINGLE OLDER MAN WITH "BLUE MAX" ON HIS GOLF CART THAT WAS RUDE AS, WELL YOU KNOW! WE COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE, WAITING ON EVER HOLE ON THE FRONT NINE BUT HE WOULD PLAY RIGHT ON TOP OF US AND ALMOST HIT US ONCE. HE FELT LIKE HE OWNED THE COURSE. BESIDES THAT IDIOT, THE FAIRWAY WAS TOO LONG, THE ROUGH WAS REALLY ROUGH. MOST OF THE GREENS WHERE OK, A COUPLE HAD BARE SPORTS. THE WORKERS ON THE COURSE ON A BUSY FRIDAY AFTERNOON WERE MOWING THE TEE BOXES AND AROUND GREENS AND REALLY DIDN'T CARE IF YOU WERE GETTING READY TO HIT OR NOT. JUST A TERRIBLE DAY ON THE GOLF COURSE AND NO MATTER WHAT DEAL IS ON GOLFNOW, DON'T GO!!
Good price for a weekend round
Course in fairly good shape. Nothing fancy here. Just a nice day on the course.
Staff friendliness
You see them once in person and then driving around in loud ehicles while your driving and/ or putting. And no mobile drink cart, so bring you own beverages.
Really like this course
I play this course often, probably once a month or so, and I really enjoy it. Good deal for the money. The course isn't the best you'll play in the area but its always in good shape, plays well and pace of play is usually around 3.5hrs. For the money this is one of my favorite courses in the area.
Could Be Great But!
This course is in a nice neighborhood and provides a nice view. The design of this course is nice and requires some shotmaking. This course has the potential to be a hidden gem in the metroplex but the upkeep of this course is horrible. There are weeds everywhere and there is litttle if any difference between the fairway grass and the rough. The greens have a lot of spots with bad grass. This could be a nice course with the proper maintenance but it is what it is.
Lost Groundskeeper Creek
Rough was way too long and full of crabgrass.
Cart person was friendly and attentive, however this club only stocks a few basic beers, Bud Coors and Miller. Disappointing. No alcohol sold on Sunday a.m. without food items -even from the cart.
Beautiful view from the clubhouse of the 9th green and putting area. No restaurant, just an okay-ish snack bar. Linen tablecloths and great view are for catered events. Unfortunate waste - needs a good restaurant and bar.
Restroom facilities on the course were too filthy to use. I waited till we hit the clubhouse, which was uncomfortable towards the end. Don't refill your water cups on the back nine! The water coolers dispensed bitter rubber flavored awful tasting water.
Late afternoon, as we were leaving, there were 3 or 4 parties waiting on the first tee box. Someone jumped in ahead of us near the end of our play, presumably from one of the many houses on the course.
We will not be making this mistake again. Lost Creek needs to stay lost.
The course has character and is a great value
This is the second time I've played Lost Creek in Aledo and I will definitely play it again. The course isn't in the best shape, but they are working on it and I think it will continue to get better. The staff is very friendly and helpful. And I will say that the course has character. There are some semi-blind tee shots, sharp dog legs, fun par 3's, and some great risk-reward par 5's. The course was very green but they need to keep working on flattening tee boxes, removing weeds/bad grass, and getting the greens rolling smoother. It's still a lot of fun and a great value!
Memorial Day at Lost Creek
Lost Creek,
the course was in great shape, the staff was very nice and helpful,is also a very family friendly course, took my wife and she really enjoyed playing there
Out of town fun!
It is always fun to get out of the hustle of the big city to enjoy golf. The course was in fair condition except the greens, which I thought were inconsistent. The fellow players all seem to have a great attitude, which is more than I can say for the pro shop staff.
Yes, we would go back when on Golf Now special...
Good value for the price, only $20
Needs alot of work on the greens and tee boxes. Nice layout, alot of potential.
Slow Play....
I don't play out at Lost Creek much, but when I do its because of the hot deal here on golf now, usually around $10-15 during the week. Honestly that is about all its worth. The last time I played out at Lost Creek, I got behind the owner of the course who was playing in a seven some and would not let my twosome go by on the entire back nine. The pace of play usually slow. The course however needs some work. There are plenty of weeds growing in the rough and fairways. Some of the tee boxes didn't have grass on them and a few were so rock hard you couldn't get the peg in the ground. The bunkers are like they dumped a bunch of sand in them, and never packed it down. Hitting sand shots are almost impossible. The greens however aren't too bad. They roll pretty decent. They aren't the best greens around, but they also aren't the worst. Don't pay anymore than the hot deal that is offered here on golf now at Lost Creek if you are wanting to try it.
Ok for the time of year
Tee boxes and greens in good shape but fairways a still a bit low. Should improve after more rain.
Tee to Green = Awful Condition
I picked a $9 Hot Deal - it's worth about that. Tee Boxes, fairways and rough is all dried up or bare ground. If you like "hard and fast" with very close lies, you'll like this course.
Greens were pretty good actually - very fast and hard - I bet they stimped at tour speeds.
This course has potential in it's design and layout - many interesting holes that require thought and shotmaking ability.
On the front 9 , many of the holes roll the ball left - be careful.
Lots of water needed here.
