Play it!
The layout is varied, greens are firm and fast, sand traps are almost always in play and well maintained, and the practice facility complete.
One of the better tracks and $ values in Central Tejas.

Excellent course, and value. Greens are a little grainy, but excellent for mid-November.

Good Track
Shot one of the better rounds out here this year. Good tree-lined but fair fairways, quick but true greens and real sand in the bunkers. You'll definitely play this course different the 2nd time around but most of it is right in front of you. Definitely has the rustic feel to it. Just don't mind the continual Guardsmen doing their weekend training in the F-15s. A good time and nice course!

Yes, Another Great Day
Had another great time / round at Hawk’s Creek. I have played this course weekly for the last 22 weeks and have throughly enjoyed the course and staff. I expect to continue a weekly round here. Not sure what I will do when I don’t have a great day. LOL.

Fun round, challenging greens
Really enjoyed playing Hawk’s Creek. Played on Sunday and it felt like Sunday pin placement at a major. Pins were in tough locations that were really challenging and lots of fun. Greens were in good shape and pretty quick which made the tough pins even harder. I walked the course, it’s totally walkable but there are a few hikes from green to the next tee. POP was good, didn’t wait very much. Overall, it was a fun course that I’d okay again.

Good shape, bring your own drinks
Cart girl was non existent. She showed on last hole, it was 87 degrees. Had a three some ahead of us that held us up some and a twosome that hit into us three times.
Other than that the course is in good shape and a good value.
I would recommend playing there.
Just don’t expect much from the skeleton staff.

Old School Gem
Had a great day playing Hawks Creek. Course is in excellent condition, and the greens are better than some CC that I have played lately. Wonderful layout, challenging and worth the drive from Dallas County. It took a few holes to get use to the "Sound of Freedom" thundering overhead every 15 minutes, but its not everyday you get to see F-16 and F-35 fighter jets flying over your head. I walked the course, and its a pretty good hike, but the setting is worth slowing down and enjoying.

Real cool old course
Hawks Creek is always a fun course to play. The greens are in great shape and roll fair. One of the greatest old clubhouses. nice driving range with convenient credit card accepting machine so you can walk right up, nice big practice putting green as well. Great experience.

It's been awhile
Last time I played this course was over 10 years ago. I was quite surprised at the condition which was wonderful. I look forward to playing this course again soon. We played a foursome and everyone enjoyed it to return the next week.
