As temps increase, so does the course improvement. Greens rounding into shape and still a great value for cost as well as food and beverage. Great staff as well.

Great course layout. Very challenging and you hit every club in the bag. Greens were still a tad punched, but course conditions were otherwise great.

Second time to play this course and it was great both times.

After a long rainy day this course is playing magnificent! Was able to finish a round in 3 hours flat and enjoyed every minute of it. Fairways are cut perfectly and the greens were true. One of Dow’s best public courses hands down!

My husband and I played on May 18; my birthday.

Manny at the pro-shop took great care of us. We had intended to walk 9 and ride 9 but it got pretty warm so we just walked the front 9. Overall the course was in good shape, a bit beat down in spots from all the traffic, but fine. We saw a raccoon and Igretso which was nice and I loved the 5 jets taking off overhead from Carswell!

What I did not love, particularly during this time, was the dirty restroom, paper floating in the toilet which would not fliush, the sink with paper around it due to overflow? Then, after our round the dirty patio, trash on the floor and tables ketchup and food stains. Did not know where to set my stuff! Especially now, this should be super clean, it it was nasty. Very disappointing not to mention unhealthy. Close it off if you can’t or won’t keep it up.

I would play again but totally avoid those areas.

First, it is always really nice to play at a well maintained course. Everything looked the way it should be for a golf course, the fairway grass was cut to the right length, trees and bushes were trim back, the greens while recently aerated were still good and the grass was grass not weeds, the sand was sand, not dirt etc. We enjoyed the layout of the course very much, the challenges of going down hill, up hill and avoiding various water hazards and hedgerows. I do want to mention the cart girls who were very friendly and were willing to engage us in conversation. It was very nice. All in all, I enjoyed playing there yesterday and I look forward to playing there again.

Course was coming out of aeration and great to play..

The course was in very good shape (although the greens had been airated recently). The clubhouse is the nicest I've seen. Very interesting holes. One of my favorite courses.

Ok, yes, our virus restrictions are part of life. But, the handful of courses that went Walking Only, doesn't make much sense as the vast majority allowed carts with one rider. So, I walked and carried my bag for the first time in many years. It was actually ok, may even had lost a few pounds. As the footprint of this course is very old, several holes are very short. Two of the par 5's are really par 4 length. The condition of the course and greens was very good. My only complaint of this course is that there are a few holes with slopes on greens that is just unfair. I understand that this compensates for the length, but still unfair. The most unique part of this course is the sound of the fighter jets taking off and in maneuvers. Simply awesome! The closing holes on each 9 are great par 5's. The clubhouse was mostly closed, but would love to know its history. Will come back from time to time and hope for good pin placements.

Course prepping for June so both greens and fairways aerated...Even so, great track although wind a killer. Can't wait to return in about 2 weeks when grass fills in.

Played this morning. Greens were worked on 9 days ago i was told but were still ok shape. oddly enough though my coworker and I were encouraged to ride in the same cart together. We were a bit uncomfortable about the idea so we took separate carts and teed off. we arrived to #3 tee box only to find a FIVE SOME playing in front of us, and they were ELDERLY gentlemen at that.

Enjoyed the round, course was in pretty decent conditions, odd that there were no bunker rakes ( there are a lot of bunkers here) but the golf course staff is as relaxed as ever.

we will be back soon to play it when things normal out.

Course layout and the heritage with the brick building and bridges is just gorgeous. They had just aerated the whole course but even so played well besides a few bad bounces here and there. I’ll definitely be back.

I played this course a while back and I’m just now leaving a review. I am sure the course is just the same as I left it a month ago. Beautiful! I love this course and will enjoy playing it as long as I’m in the DFW area. Challenging, just the way I like it! The greens aren’t too difficult and they run smoothly. I recommend the course to anyone when I talk about golf, it’s my #1 in the area. At least for now, I’m still trying out other courses. If you can find a hot deal for a decent price and you haven’t played it, DO IT!

Played for the first time and really enjoyed the course. Greens rolled great and coursebwasbin great condition. Didn't like that they didn't have pins or flags in to identify hole placement. Quarantine conditions.

I appreciate Hawks Creek remaining open throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, it was nice to get outside and exercise. I would have preferred the pins stayed put, but compliance is understood.
