Outstanding Value
I was pleasantly surprised by this course out west of Fort Worth. The distance away from everything makes this course a hidden gem as most of the Dallas crowd doesn't come out this far. In addition to a smaller tee sheet, $57 for a Sunday morning is a steal.
This course is old. Like, very old. I think it makes this course charming but others I know aren't a big fan because technology has removed a lot of the bite out of this course. Granted, even from the tips I don't think I hit anything longer than a PW into a par 4 but the par 3s at least held their own out here.
This course is likely a course for the 10+ handicappers as it was very easy to navigate. A scratch golfer who is low on confidence might also benefit from making the trip out, as well.
Cool course, quick pace and phenomenal conditions. Would definitely come back.
Rough Crowd
Not sure what was going on out there today but it was definitely the millennial white trash open. F-Bombs being screamed across fairways, cop killer rap blaring from carts, vulgar messages on golf balls left on greens. Real nice way to spend the day on the course with your daughter. Not the courses fault but man some people just lack class.
Bring your A game
I have played this course dozens of times. It is truly a test of.every skill you think you have. First of all, if you tend to pull shots, R.I.P. up your score card. You will be unmercifully punished for it. Play the draw. It will save you some balls. Second. Stay focused as you approach the end of each nine. You will be met by twin par fives that demand a solid tee shot followed by a creek to clear on your second shot. A delicious challenge that crushes you if you don’t finish strong. I like the sight and sound of the fighter jets. I tap into that powerful sound as they fly by. Beautiful clubhouse. Accommodating staff. One of Ft. Worth’s finest
A Good Solid Course
We played around 11:30 and basically had the course to ourselves. Played in 3+ hours.
There are some interesting challenges that require some thought - cross water hazards on #5, 9, 14 and 18 come to mind
Greens are fairly large and receptive.
Par 3's are varied and I think all require a different club.
If you like jet airplanes, the military base provides plenty of take-offs on any given day.
You won't find any simple, throwaway holes here - bring your "A" game to score well.
WOW!! PERFECTION!! 5 STARS!!
The course is in immaculate condition:
1. the fairways have grass & were perfect
2. the greens were challenging...yet perfect
3. the bunkers were beautiful, soft, & perfect
The course layout is not for amateurs though. I’m happy to say, this will be my new home course!!
Great conditions
The course is in great shape today. Greens were excellent. The white sand in the bunkers is awesome. Great overall experience.
Great Course
I really enjoy playing this course. The difficulty and great condition of the course always make for enjoyable round. Definitely worth the money and will be back for sure.
Well established older course.
The course is very tight in places lots of well placed trees, overall a great layout!
Lot of shade on hot days,
one of my favorite to play in the Fort Worth area.
First Time Playing Course
First time playing Hawks Creek. Very good layout. Course was in great condition. Nice practice facilities. Enjoyed my round. Can't wait to play it again.
The Course
I’ve NEVER seen this course in this good of shape. I am so impressed with the Bunker sand, the soft fairways and exceptional greens.
I hope that the City of Westworth sees this and continues the quality of this course. Just as it was many years ago. It is in AMAZING SHAPE right now and that’s why I make that statement.
This is a premier course in Fort Worth and should be seen as that. From the Staff to the Amazing layout of this gem. I play or try to every Friday here and it has been a long time since I’ve seen this course look this good.. Keep it up Hawks!!!!
See ya next Friday!!!!
Fun Course in Excellent Condition
Played here yesterday for the first time in probably ten years. I had forgotten how much i liked it. Layout is challenging without being punishing, and the course was in really great condition. I will definitely be back!!
Not bad
I thought the course was in really good shape. Everyone moved along quickly and efficiently. Was able to finish in around 4 hours. Staff was friendly on the inside.
great condition
If all you want to do is play golf, this is the course. Fairways and greens in very good shape. I played from the very back tee set and I am currently an 8 handicap and I shot a 76. If you keep the ball in play, you can score but if you spray the ball, probably not the course for you. fast pace. One warning, no beverage cart on course and limited water supply but you can bring along your own water and or Gatorade.
