Excellent condition
Played here on Sunday in the am, started out great, but there was a foursome in front of us who seemed to be learning the game and each person was playing 2 balls. This made for a 15 minute wait between each shot which was frustrating. There was no Marshall to monitor pace of play and they would not let us play through. The condition of the course is excellent and I love this track. Despite the slow play, i shot my lowest round so I left happy.
Good course, good condition
This is the second time to play Hawk Creek. 1st time the course was dormant and played better than expected. Greens were smooth, fast but fair. This time the greens were a few weeks after being punched and were a little slow but straight. This now is one of my favorite courses in FW.
great value
except that the greens had been recently sanded and aerated, this course was in perfect condition. In another week the greens will match the rest of the course. they rolled well but were a little slow. I can't wait to play the course again.
Hawks Creek condition
It was raining during my tee time. The pro shop let me come back a few hours later for a rain check and still let me use the hot deal rate. The course was in perfect condition and drained quickly. Greens and fairways in excellent condition.
Consistently in Good to Excellent condition
I have played this course many times and it has always been in very good condition. A very friendly and helpful staff makes getting started a pleasure. Nice practice facility is available.
The only thing I would like to see changed is to have a 9 hole rate. I hace two friends recovering from surgery and both only want to start back by playing 9 holes. We have had to go to other courses which offer a true 9 hoe rate.
Great Course
Very nice course. Green cut short, very open with space. I would play this course again. Shot my best ever on the first 9.
Wow!
What a beautiful course! Played with my boys and rented the golf boards. Great fun on a challenging but fair course! Bunkers were nice (wish I didn’t know that). Greens putted true and fairways were spectacular. The fighter jets will give you chills. Can’t wait to take friends back!
Great course with great layout
Great course and pricing. Some challeging holes which is good, and overall a good layout in general. One of the better public coursed in the DFW area in my opinion
GREAT CONDITION!
COURSE IS ALWAYS IN GREAT CONDITION! AWESOME SETTING

Former Air Force base course
I've played a few base courses, this is no longer owned by the Air Force, but it still has that base course feel. Nicer than any base course I've played except for the former Glenview Naval Air Station course outside Chicago, which is also now public. At the price I paid it's well worth it, but if you are paying full price you could just go play Tierra Verde or Texas Star, or even Tangle Ridge and you would be getting more course for your money. Other than the price point, I saw no negatives. The sand traps were beautifully maintained, the greens were fairly quick and held good shots well. Recommended.
Great Value
$35 is a good price for this course. Very friendly 19th hole staff and great patio to watch the players come in on 18 and 9. Traps in perfect condition. Nice white sand. Tee boxes are hard as a rock and most the course has minimal grass on it. Could use some arrogation. It was an April day so would like to check it out after the grass comes in.
Great lay out
Overall course was great ! Fairway grass Needs to grow a lot ! Very short on most fairways other than that it was great ! Challenging layout but fair !
Greens and Bunkers were in Great Shape
All bunkers had new sand compacted just right so sand shots were fun Greens were quick and in great shape for anytime of year
Golf Boards and F-18's
Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by what could possibly be one of the most unique clubhouses you’ll find just about anywhere. Beyond that, a challenging layout awaits for you to feed your golf balls to. And on top of that, the neighboring military base gives quite an air show on the weekends making this course a must see for your visit to the Fort Worth area. The golf boards look like fun too. There's only a handful of courses in the area that have golf boards, and out of those handful there's only 2-3 that are public. This place provides both a unique and enjoyable round, especially if you're a big military fan like myself. Love, love, love watching those F-18's taking off and landing.

Awesome course.
The layout of this course is phenomenal. Enjoyable course and a great staff. Greg in the pro-shop is very knowledgeable and friendly.
We are a couple of Cheeseheads from Wisconsin. We spend our winters here in the Fort Worth, TX area and play Hawks Creek pretty much every day. Great layout. Fairways and greens in great shape. Every hole is different and offers a challenge. The creek comes into play on most holes. A fun course. The new bunkers are great. We would especially like to thank Head Pro Mike Meka, Greg, Steve and Manny in the pro shop along with Armanda, Alex and Beth in the snack shop. Their level of service, as always, was exceptional. Love the new bunkers. Hope to return again next winter. Thank you for a great winter vacation.
Very Disappointed
Fairways are average at best. Greens are horrid. Definitely not a course I’d want to play again. Very disappointed
Round Two
