The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

good round of golf
greens excellent, staff and players friendly, very nice pool and deck, great views. This course is a work in progress=tees and fairways are dry, they are working on getting water to the fairways. carts are brand new and making upgrades to the facility. good course layout. Bring short tees for hitting off the fairways. Pace of play is excellent. Burgers are the best, good grill. Most black rock squirrels I've ever seen.
Work in progress
I used to play this course quite often when I lived in the area about 10-12 years ago. We recently moved back to the area and wanted to give a try again. The greens were in good shape except for 1 and 12 which had temporary greens (mown fairways). The fairways and tee boxes were in horrible shape. We were told that this course was closed due to some management problems and when it was purchased by the new owner it was reopened. The course was overgrown during that downtime and is on it's way back now. The new owner has invested money in new carts and some upgrades to the clubhouse and facilities but it will take time for the course to come all the way back. The course wasn't overly crowded which was nice but that was probably due to the condition. The course has always been fun to play and fair. I feel that a good years worth of TLC will be needed to turn this back into the course that it once was. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It did take some time to get a hotdog at the turn and I thought that was strange but once I got it the food was good.
Rebecca Creek returns
After 2 years closed, RC has returned as an excellent choice of hill country golf options. Tee boxes and fairways still need some improvement due to our current drought conditions, but the greens are in great shape. Very consistent roll from hole to hole.
The golf cart fleet has been completely replaced with new electric carts equipped with automatic braking. This course provides plenty of challenge for most golf skill levels and I think it is a very good value. The staff are all friendly and accommodating.
new ownership and staff are getting it done!
I have played this course for the last 22 years under different names and ownership, and this owner and his staff are getting the course in the best shape it has ever been in. I have NEVER seen the greens this good. The fairways will follow suit if we can get some rain. The layout has challenging holes and some fairly easy ones . I have played it three times now and am going back this Saturday at 7 am. First timers don't judge this course on what the previous owner did because this course is going to be a jewel. Kudos to the greenskeeper and his staff. Great job, guys, keep it up!
Getting it back into shape
Greens were in great shape outside of the two that were lost due to being closed and the drought, fairways were dry and dusty, but the new owner is working on getting wells drilled so they can water them. all in all not too bad.
Coming back strong
Greens excellent. Fairways good but need water.
Course layout is challenging and fun.
Welcome back!!
I have played this course for the last 20+ years under different names and ownership, and these guys have it right!! The course has been closed for almost 2 years until the new owners stepped up and made the commitment this property has needed all along.
With the exception of two temporary greens, the other 16 were in fantastic shape, best they have ever been in. They are working tirelessly to get this course in shape, and yes, it will take a while. The owners and staff are well aware of what needs to be done and they are doing it! As with all courses in the area, it needs rain and the fairways will be back in no time. In the meantime, I highly recommend getting out to play the old girl, she is going to be something when they are done. They have remodeled the clubhouse, grill, pool and deck area, and are continuing improvements. This is not the old RC most of us remember.......Thanks to the new owner and his staff for bringing her back! I will definitely be back many times.
Making a comeback!
It looks like new ownership is agreeing with the course. Besides the two temp greens, the greens are in excellent condition. Can't say the same for the fairways although I was told by one of the residents along the backside that they are trying to remedy that situation. The wells are not providing enough water to water the entire course and they are in the process of drilling two new wells to accommodate. Friendly and honest folks running the shop -my husband left his cellphone in the cart and it was promptly returned when discovered. We will return!
Newly Reopened Course
Greens in excellent condition, two temp greens; overall course in need of repair following closure for a period of time. Wish the staff all the best in restoring the course.
I beat my hubby
This course was new to us and we will be back saw deer's bobcat walking around and lots of trees the staff is wonderful and I love the Idea that after your done golfing you can sit around the pool or clubhouse and even swim if you want your family can hang out in the pool and cabana area while you golf come back and join them the best of all worlds, Great course.....
Pleasantly surprised
The greens were great. Fairways need to work. Staff was exceptionally nice. Nice new carts. 18 holes open up soon. I would recommend playing here.
This course has no special features and is in really poor condition.
I played this course in 2 1/2 hours. Everyone was friendly enough and let me play through several times. I enjoyed playing because I love golf but the course had nothing to do with it. It is nothing special visually and needs a lot of work. It was a cheap round in comparison to other courses I have played however I still feel I overpaid.
course is challenging but the greens need work. rock solid greens.
playing time was under 4 hours. fun course to play.
This is a terrible, terrible course. I'll never play here again.
The fairways are awful but the greens are worse. It appears no one even maintains the course. The greens have weeds in them. They are uneven, spots where grass hasn't grown, the ball jumps around when it is putted and nothing rolls "true".
They should give your money back or at least warn you that the course conditions are terrible.
great hill country views
I enjoy this course because of the Hill Country feel. It usually needs some attention to maintenance, lately the tee boxes have been so sandy you cannot keep your feet steady when you swing your club.
Good course, good price, needs work
Course condition has improved drastically; however, the fairways need some work. The greens have improved 200%, and are in pretty good shape (they are lightning fast on putts). Overall, I would say that this course is a great value play.
Good course, enjoyed playing here
The course overall is pretty well maintained, not very green due to the drought conditions in the area. There are no water/sand hazards to speak of. The golfnow pricing of $18/person with cart was worth it.
Good course for value
This was my first time at this course and I thought it was just OK. Views were nice but not much to gawk over. Holes 1, 2, 10, and 18 are so close it's difficult to tell where the fairway are so they all play as one big one. The driving range right against hole 1 also making it a distraction for the second shot. Greens were in good condition but the fairways were more often hard packed dirt than than grass. The time of year could be the reason for that. Pace of play can be slowed at the beginning and end of rounds if it's busy. It's a good value when reserving through GolfNow, but in it's present condition I wouldn't recommend this course. I'll give it a second chance in the spring.
Not too hard and fun.
Hardly any water and no sand...but lots of trees and sometimes narrow fairways. Being remote and hard to find, it is not very crowded and the price is great. A fun afternoon. However, the best prices are by just going out there and paying if person as the Golf 512 deals are not as good when you factor in the on-line fees.
