The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Dried Up
The course was flat and very bare. The fairways were non-existent, dried up and very bumpy. I had no grass on most lies. It was still muddy from rain a week prior. That indicates that there's no grass on the course. Chip shots ran and ran on the dormant greens. They ran really quickly too because of the slopes on the surfaces. Almost unfair putting on about a third of the greens. Overall it was enjoyable, yet frustrating at times due to no shot from the sides of the greens.
GOOD VALUE
Course was dormant resulting in little definition between fairway and rough but was in decent condition for the month of Jan. All but 2 greens were in good condition, decent speed and rolled well. The back nine is tighter and tree lined requiring more shot positioning then the front.
Greens are making progress
This course is under its latest title and I can say I've never seen the greens in better shape over the years...that said I never had a fairway lie entirely made up of grass, I've always loved the layout and it's worth your time when compared to the price of a large bucket of balls or 2.
Stay Away!
This is a goat pasture - and that is actually an insult to goat pastures. Tee boxes and fairways are pockmarked monstrosities. Two greens were completely unplayable (staff advised that they were being overseeded)- but no temporary greens in place? Those two putting surfaces need not overseeding but, rather, resurfacing entirely. The remainder of the greens were acceptable.
There is nary a sand hazard on the course giving the place a scruffy, undefined look even from afar.
BTW - I have never before seen a sevensome playing before - and fivesomes seemed not unusual at all.
All in all this was a miserable experience.
Winter Time Gold
It was a very cold day, but the course is worth the drive. The condition is about what you would expect this time of year. The staff is always great, and that also goes for the snack bar folks.
Good course. Best staff around
The course is really in pretty good shape. It's really coming around after being closed for a while. The course was absolutely packed the day after Christmas. The staff was very apologetic and they provided free range balls and even comped us for the round. True class acts. Will definitely be playing this course again.
Fairways and tee boxes are a little rough
Good layout and nice greens. Fairways and tee boxes are a little rough and could be better maintained. Overall great value for the price and the staff is always friendly. Go play.
Awesome value for the money.
Had a great time. The weather was perfect and the course is getting better and better every week.
A gem amongst the double-wides.
Having been burned by other courses in the area that were devastated by recent drought conditions, this was a VERY pleasant change.
Fairways are dry in places but greens are excellent for this time of year.
Two greens are being brought back to life from the drought and are similar to a temporary. However, you can tell that the staff is making every effort to keep ahead of conditions.
Dons Play
Course has only reopened recently and for that amount of time for grooming & care it was in very good shape. I'm really looking forward to playing there in the future especially if improvement plans go as I was told. For the cost of play, it can't be beat.....a real bargain without sacrificing course condition.
Overall bad experience
The staff was very friendly and the food was great; however, that's where the enjoyable part of my experience ended. Our t time was at 1:00 and we didn't get a cart until about 2:00. On top of that, come to find out one of the people out on the course was the owner, which in my opinion is rude and bad business when plenty of your paying customers are being delayed by the lack of available carts. A couple of the greens were unplayable due to their condition and the overall condition of the course was poor as well. I wouldn't pay to come back and play this course.
The course at Rebecca creek
Great value for the Money. Extremely nice staff. Excellent greens. Course is coming along nicely. Good bones.
challenging greens
This was my 1st time on this course and the weather was really cold. Brian made me feel really welcome, and remembered my name each time I came back to the clubhouse. While there is not much in the way of water or sand hazards, I found the greens to be a challenge. Overall, the course was in good shape and well cared for. I found it to be a great value, and look forward to playing it again.
Jack
Greens were in great shape except for two that are being redone. Fairways are in need of more grass. Overall course in pretty good shape for having been closed for a while. There seem to be a effort to bring the course back
In regards to my money, the heck with any other course
I don't like writing these, and it especially hurts to write this one because I'd rather keep this place as my little secret. I'm going to regret this but here goes: it's diamond in the rough, needle in a haystack type place. A gem, a true gem. I'm not going to get into detail about all the little things that are terrific about the place except that it's got a freaking pool man! But yeah staff, food, service, course - perfect! If you manage to not like the place or have a bad experience that's good for me lol
The course is nestled in a hill country setting.
Over all the course is great for the money. There were a couple of holes that were being repaired but other than that, it is a great bang for your buck. And it is a nice scenic country ride to get there.
It's NOT Corazon de Rebecca Creek, or The Hawk, or whatever else it was before that.
#1 and #12 playing on temp greens. Fairways average to slightly less. Tee boxes below average to poor. All due to lack of water and abandonment by previous operators.
Greens are the best I've seen them in over 8 years.
New carts (no GPS), range and putting green are fine.
Sunday is wide open. We got around is ~ 3.5 hours.
#2 and #18 are once again traded.
Still some work in the clubhouse restrooms. Staff is friendly.
hard work and patience is paying off
8th time I have played the course since reopening, first time in about a month. the recent rains have really helped the fairways and the two temp greens, the other sixteen greens are still the best in SA area. This is a fun course to play, staff is extremely friendly, facilities are great. You will be surprised if you'll just give it a chance. the owner and his staff are serious about getting this course into tip-top shape, and are well on their way. i'll be back soon.
character is fine
but course not well maintained. Plays like an old Texas country courses. Not terribly challenging, but scenery is excellent. Has potential, but not reached it yet.
