The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Rebecca Creek
Course is typical Winter condition. No grass on the tee boxes and very little in fairways. Greens are very hard and bumpy. Have to land ball short of greens and roll up to get them to stop. Ball washers had no water in them.
Considering all the rain, the course was pretty fair. Even at cart path only, play was quite amazingly smooth. Great job to the grounds crew.
What I expected
Other reviews noted the tee box condition. Pretty much sprigs of grass with sandy/gravel. Fairways were not bad, with the recent rains we've had. Narrow fairways with lots of trees to (try) to avoid. No water or bunkers, but you can sure lose you ball in the rocks just off the fairway. Greens were in good condition and fast. Overall, it was fun. Price paid was reasonable.
Ok course but good for price
The course was in ok shape. Nothing that wows you but it is good for the price I paid. Probably won’t drive that far out again to play it though.
The course is much better since recent rains but you have to understand this area is under a sever drought. Just look at the Guadalupe River or Canyon Lake with the all the boat ramps closed. I like the layout of the course, staff is friendly and helpful. Snack bar is above average pool is average but no slides in the pool for the kiddos. The cart beverage girl made her rounds and the starter did make his present made to keep pace going. Great value for the money would drive out to play again

Dry, Dry, Dry!
Did I say dry? This course was in terrible shape. Every tee box was literally a sand box, will never go back or recomend this course to anyone. Save your money and go to another course. I heard they lost their water rights and will be shutting down soon, wish I would have know this before booking a foursome with potential clients.

Horrible course condition
There's no fairways, or tee boxes. Horrible shape.
Marshall Clay is the only reason why I'll come back. He made sure we were taken care of.

Desert golf
I understand we have been in a drought. Every tee box on the corse was sanded. Incredibly difficult to play with these conditions. Absolutely no grass in “fairway”. They did not hesitate to take 50 bucks from me however. How do you charge 50 bucks for a golf course with no grass??

First and last time to play
Staff were fantastic. Very friendly. Greens were in good shape. That’s the positive. Unfortunately, Tee Boxes were literally sand traps - all of them. And the fairways were bare and gross. I seems to be hitting off of dirt most of the time. Just too many other options in the area with better playing surface. Glad we tried the course but this is a one and done.

Greens were OK, fairways and tee boxes not so good.
The drought took a toll on this course. They've tried to maintain the greens, but many of the tee boxes are nothing but sand. It had recently.rained, so things had softened, but the fairways are basically barren. Maybe next spring things will turn around. Staff was friendly.

You get what you pay for
I’m not disappointed as my expectations were low to begin with. But what I heard is true, grass on tee boxes is almost non existent. Same with the fairways. Greens were healthy, but incredibly slow. Still had a great time though, for the price it’s hard to complain to much.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for acknowledging the challenges we have with the grass on the tee boxes and fairways. We apologize if these aspects were less than desirable. We appreciate your understanding and are glad to hear that overall you had a great time at our golf course!
Missing grass
The greens had nice grass, but were extremely slow. Most of the tees and fairways had minimal grass.

Don't do it
Not a single Tee Box or fairway had grass. Greens were ok, but every single fairway and tee box was dirt!
We apologize for the condition of our tee boxes and fairways during your visit. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we will work to improve the grass coverage in those areas. We appreciate your feedback and hope to provide a better experience for you in the future.
Great staff, sad fairways
Can’t be too discouraged for no grass in the fairways and tee boxes, due to the severe drought and summer heat central Texas has endured. It was tough to get good shots off the hard pan fairways, though the greens are in nice shape.
I’ll return once they are able to grow in the fairways. Wonderful personnel at each junction of the course!

Staff was friendly and professional but the course had no grass and was rocky. Tee boxes were like hitting out of sand trap. It was cheap so I can't complain too much.
