Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

I just can't do it anymore...

I've played this course several times and each time the conditions continue to decline. The "fairways" are indistinguishable from the rough and either are mostly dirt. The tee boxes are sand traps and half the greens were truly half green. Charging anything more than a crappy $20 municipal course is robbery.

I miss when it was a decent course that might not have been great but the price for the condition.

Dry and Rough

This course is tore up, dry, hard as a rock in the fairways, sand pits for tee boxes.

Don’t waste your time or money

From the practice tee with no grass, to the practice green that is a turtles shell to the tee boxes with no grass and the fairways with very little grass, that hadn’t been mowed in weeks, this was a very poor experience. The greens did have grass, but were very slow, I guess they are afraid to cut them. Certainly not worth the money.

I can recommend a place that, but you have to pay a whole lot more go play Vaaler and pay upwards of a $100.00 We are in a Drought still and no water coming out of the river or Canyon Lake

Fairways are non existent

The tee boxes were not kept up, but the worst of it all was the fairways. It’s like you’re playing in a park, the course is open and all. But, if the fairways were just kept up with and treated properly I wouldn’t mind paying a little bit more for a round. The price should be cheaper playing in these current conditions. Staff were wonderful though, plenty of drinks and good conversations there.

Save your money

Unless you can’t find a tee time and you’re desperate to play, save your money.

Most of the tee boxes are uneven sand pits. The fairways are a mixture of crab grass, uncut Bermuda, and dirt patches. There are a couple of holes in good condition, but overall, it’s rough. 1/3 of the greens are dead.

The Marshall does a decent job of keeping the pace of play up.

Neglected Course

The good: friendly staff, good driving range, well marked course.

The bad: could not tell the difference between rough, fairway, or cow pasture. And it was cart path only - to not ruin the pasture.

Would not recommend until a lot of work is done to restore what was once a nice facility. My first time there, but our playing partners had been there before.

Monday Fun

First off, I don’t like to bash courses because I love the game and it can be hard running a golf course. This was my first time playing Rebecca Creek and I had a great time! Greens were in pretty good shape, however, the fairways need a little help but that’s not gonna make my game better so I just give myself a club length. I grew up in West Texas and this is better than 99% of the courses I grew up playing on. The staff were super friendly and it’s nice to have water on the course to drink! I’ll be back!

Overall this is a very nice golf course the staff were very friendly. The greens were in excellent condition. The Teebox is however needs some work quite a few of them were just sand with patches of grass, if they get that taken care of it will make a world of a difference. It’s a nice open course grass is well-maintained outside of the fairways. I would definitely play here again.

Don’t waste your money

Course is in terrible shape. The “grass” in the fairway is mainly weeds. It was cart path only the day we played and no consideration for the 90 degree rule. Save your money and play somewhere else.

Keep in mind

This course was hit the hardest by the drought. This year they finally have enough rain to get the grass growing. People need to keep in mind that the course has to let the grass grow tall for a period so it can establish strong roots again. Excited to hopefully see the rain keep up and the fairways reestablished.

Rebecca creek

Course was in pretty good shape. Played early 7:20am. Greens a little slow just turned off sprinklers. Course not to difficult no sand traps, but the trees and greens were challenging. Will play again good course for the cost.
