Very good layout in good condition for the time of year.
Course was in very good shape, but the golfers need to fix their pitch marks on greens. I don't know what the problem is with NOVA, but people just won't fix their pitch marks (even huge ones that are easy to see).
I really like the layout of the course. Very different from the others in the area. Municipal course so the bunkers don't drain and the sand is more dirt, so I use my Lob Wedge to pitch out.
Fairways are ample, but rough is long due to rain.
Greens keepers roll the greens every day, so early rounds roll very true. Later rounds get a little bumpy due to pitch marks.
Overall, Brambleton is a lot of fun and I always enjoy playing there.

Great Course - Great Staff
Course is great deal. Staff is friendly. Good range sand practice areas. Easy parking.
Tees time advertised with cart for 18 holes late in days are not accurate as carts have to be returned by 5:00pm so not sure what they are posted like this.

Brambleton
Interesting layout but not tricky. Fairways and greens in good shape. Played in a foursome in 3:40!

Efficient Round
This was my first time playing here and I was impressed with the speed of play. I was in a group of 4 and it only took us 4 hours to comfortably complete our round. Course staff was helpful and friendly!

Unorganized
Neither the pro shop nor the starter informed me the back 9 was closed until after I finished my front 9. The course didn’t delay New golfers going off there front 9 so there was a big delay to reply the same 9. I’ve played there a lot over the past 10 years, it’s disappointing to see such poor organization from the staff.
We are very sorry to hear about your experience and for the miscommunication. It sounds like our aeration script informing golfers of the situation and closure was not communicated to your group. During aeration, we block tee times to avoid a log jam of cross over play from guests playing the same 9 twice. We did have an unexpected closure of the back 9 for the day which is not typical during aeration. Normally, our back 9 opens up mid afternoon for play to continue on. We are very sorry for the circumstances and will do a better job of communicating in the future.

Conditions good for all the heat and rain we had
Course was green, and fast even after all the rain. A little soggy in spots, but better than most in the area.

Recent Course Aeration
Recent aeration and thick rough detracted from an enjoyable round. Also only the front nine was open and repeat of front nine to complete eighteen holes. All in all still a good round of golf.
