would play again
excellent staff course in very good condition would recommend
Nice
Nice course planning on going back several times. Course in good shape. warning second cut is thick and green keep your ball in the fairway and you'll love the course.
Enjoyable course
Has some nice challenges. Enjoyable course to play. I look forward to returning in the near future to play another round!
My husband and I really like both course. We playedthere again Friday. (South)
Nice Gem!!!
After reading some of the reviews I still purchased the hot deal for $17 for the North Course. Boy am I glad I did. The fairways are tight and the rough was U.S. Open like. Yes if you don't have someone with you, it will be hard to find your ball. Now most reviews talk about the cart paths and for the most part that is true, but are you there to ride the cart paths or play golf. The course is short but challenging. I think a very fair test of anyone's golfing abilities. I live an hour and half away and will definitely be back many times. If your a diva golfer needing someone to help you from the car to first tee and spa like amenities, then you need to keep on going. But if you want a pleasant round where the fairways and greens are true, then get your hot deal and enjoy.
Fun, great shape, worth your money
I played in a Thursday morning. Round cost me $20. I drove an hour to play here with a friend. We had a great experience. Pace of play was great. The fairways and the greens were in early spring conditions even though it's August and most courses I play this time of year show signs of abuse from the heat. The course Isnt too long coming in around 6000yads from the whites, but long enough and challenging enough for me to enjoy my day. I will definitely return as I can't believe a course in such good shape and fun to play was this affordable... then again I do live just outside D.C. Where everything is overpriced.
great overall
Great overall . Good conditions considering all of the rain we had. Love coming here.
Much improved, good value
Played this course again after a few years. Turf, greens, overall condition were all significantly improved. Friendly staff, cheap beer also a plus.
Awesome layout
First time playing this course and it was great!! Course conditions and layout was really nice and will definitely play again!!
great day for a good walk spoiled
Bowling Green North is my favorite course in the area near Front Royal. The course conditions are almost always perfect and the staff are courteous and friendly. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to play golf in Northwest Virginia. This would still be a great value at twice the cost!!!
Course was in great shape
Played this past Saturday and the course is in good shape. Much better than the past. Greens were very nice and the price is right. The staff was very friendly and helpful as it has been a while since I have played here. Coming from Loudoun county was easy and worth the trip. Took me around 45 minutes . So not bad. It is a shot makers course, not too long but if you spray it you are in trouble. You will find your ball but you will have to pitch it under a tree to get back in play. I will definitely be back. Oh to be fair , the bunkers weren't great yet but it is early in the season and the staff will get them right.
Great weekend golfer's course
Enjoyed the course. Facility is a bit run down but the course and cart were great and for under $20 bucks it was a fantastic deal!!
Nice, senior friendly layout.
Course was very busy but the pace of play was good. Many seniors playing the day I was there. All holes are reachable in regulation. Played for $17.00. Course layout was challenging, over a varied terrain. Have played the course about a dozen times over the last three years.
Would highly recommend this course to golfers of all skill levels.
This is a fun course to play and I will be coming back.
