Front Royal Golf Club

For those golfers who might not know about this course, this FRGC is 2nd Oldest GC in VA, built in 1938!!!

Any enthusiastic golfers should come play this course at least once.

Yes, this is 9 REGULAR hole going twice but back nine has very different approaches so does not feel you are playing same.

Layout of the course is very interesting also so it's very challenging but fun at same time.

For the long hitters, really need to aim carefully since most of the fairways are doglegged.

For the beginners, this is also fun since it offers short tee boxes. [Let go your ego and tee off from appropriate distance].

Some are blind shots so read the course map carefully and you will enjoy the game!

Overall course is in nice shape. Wide open fairways, overall good. Challenge is that you play with those on the back 9, as they tee off differently but use the same fairways as the front 9. We were backed up a bit, since you start on 1, this on 10 will be there too.

9 holes with two sets of tees for front and back nines. Well maintained course with very nice greens. A great place to go to practice

1st time there. Course is very confusing as to the layout with front 9 and back 9. Needs more markings. Greens were off the chart. Excellent. Very fast and in good shape. As most all courses people just dont fix their divots. Course in great shape.

I believe this Front Royal Golf Course is the 2nd Oldest Golf Courses in State and You Have to come and Play!, A Must!

Condition of the GC is great! Ground crews and Green keepers should be proud how nicely it is kept! Greens are true and pretty fast even after raining yesterday.

Me and my buddies had blast time especially today we had a wind speed of 17mph so really felt like we are in Scotland! [Little exaggeration], lol

But, this is a fun and beautiful golf course all golfers should play at least once or twice.

If I live there close by, I would've join as a member!!

Greens are good and fairways and rough are coming along. I would let the rough grow a bit as saw mower operator cutting them yesterday. Warm weather will help. Tks.

Love that this course is now on Golf now. Pro shop staff always happy to see you and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. This is a nice little 9 hole you play twice. A very good value for your money.

I have been playing here 2-3 times a month for a few years now. Nice to see they are on Golfnow Golfpass. It's a 9 hole course you play twice with different tee boxes. The back section runs nicely along the Shenandoah River. The gentlemen in the clubhouse are always friendly and polite and happy to see you. I enjoy playing here as often as I can.

What a great staff and beautiful setting. This course gave me a true 18 hole experience with its dual tee boxes. Also, you can play 18 holes within 3.5 hours and 9 in 1.5 hours so it doesn't take you all day to play. GREAT course!
