Fun course
Herndon is a fun municipal course. They do a good job maintaining the course for the amount of traffic coming through. The pace was a little slow. Overall/ I’ll come back and play here again! .
Painful
5 hour round thanks to a group of 7 terrible players holding up the whole course AZ nd no marshalls.
Good to play for the price
Course was in much better condition than I've previously experienced.
Course in excellent condition
Pace of play was the best of the day. Lots of walkers but they moved at a good pace.
What a great fun course
For a course at this price it cannot be beaten. Glad I read through reviews on the local courses, this one was spot on. For a course that is obviously played a lot, it is in great condition, and apparently there has been a lot of rain.
There are a good range of tight and open holes not sure about the sand was lucky enough to miss that!
If you are in the area, definitely play it, you cannot go wrong.
Great Afternoon of Golf
Friend and I played Herndon Centennial today and had a very nice round of golf. Course was generally in great condition, the only slight drawback being the greens. Not sure if they've recently been seeded, but they were somewhat inconsistent. Still, this was a minor issue as the course overall played very well.
Great Conditions, Easy course
Course was in great condition, it was an easy course; most holes were straight with a flat green. Fairly short too, playing from the tips is roughly 6,000 yds and playing blues was closer to 5,000. The starter was your classic old grumpy man who sits in his golf cart and complains whenever you ask him anything. For price its better than most courses in the area, but I still think paying $70 is pretty ridiculous unless its a top notch course
