Mariners Landing Golf & Country Club

I was traveling and decided to play an afternoon round at Mariner's Landing last Thursday for the first time. To say I was impressed would be an understatement with the entire course is in great condition! Brad and the proshop staff were so friendly, and I would recommend anyone who wants to be treated like a member for the day to come play. The pizzas and drinks we also awesome!

Loved the weekend of golf at Mariner's Landing. The course was spectacular right off the lake and the accommodations were perfect. We rented Condo Unit #304 and it was newly furnished/decorated a great place to come back to after our rounds of golf. Def rec both the course / condo.

Last time we played this course they were having some problems with disease on greens but that's done Course played great staff was awesome as always Thanks and can't wait to come back

This course is in terrible shape. Tee boxes and greens are unkept and in need of basic maintenance. This course is not recommended though the price was cheap. I recommend playing somewhere else in this area.

Welcomed an opportunity to play several games at Mariner's Landing G.C, the week of July 16th through July 20th.

The course, like most others in the area, is having to deal with a few weeks of little rain.

The grounds crew's hard work is evident in working to keep the course playable, and in the best shape possible.

The course layout provides a nice combination of hole locations, all of which create a good balance of shot placements and strategies.

The clubhouse grill makes a nice sandwich to enjoy at either the "Turn" or after a finished round.

Enjoyable rounds of golf ... Definitely will be back.

Best layout in the area with amazing views of the lake. Course is in great shape and the staff is super friendly. Also the 19th grill has the best cheeseburgers in town!!! If you havent played this track you are missing out.

This course has a decent enough layout, but lacks proper maintenance. Greens have been in terrible condition the past several years. I would play Westlake, Roanoke CC, or London Downs before I would play here.

Drove 2 hours to meet a friend camping at SML so we could golf on Sunday morning. All i can say about this place is it is TERRIBLE!!! Teebox area full of crabgrass and not cut, Greens are awful!!! Patches of sand and grass completely gone from most greens. Fairways did not differentiate between rough and fairway. Landscaping was lacking to say the least, bunkers about the nicest feature on this track. Honestly, I would not go back and play this course if it were FREE! Find another course, or suffer through 4 hours you cant get back.

We had an opportunity to play two 9 hole rounds at Mariner's Landing in Mid-September. The course had a few rough patches, but considering the long hot summer the grounds crew has done a remarkable job of keeping the course playable.

Having been to both high end and new start-up courses, I've always found the big difference isn't always the setting or palatial style clubhouses but rather in how you are treated whether a first time golfer or seasoned veteran of the game.

The staff at Mariner's Landing takes the time to make each guest feel welcome, and the relaxed aura of the course creates a winning combination.

The clubhouse has a small grill, perfect for a tasty sandwich after a few hours of enjoying relaxing golf without the distraction of vehicle traffic and condos at every turn.

The beauty of fall weather will only enhance the experience, and the 5th hole at the lake is "Picture Perfect"!

We'll definitely, return to Mariner's Landing.

A very enjoyable round of golf. The views of the mountains and Lake were exceptional. Par 3 #5 offers fantastic scenary. The staff was friendly and course was in good shape. Bentgrass Greens were very true. Not alot of landscping and extra dollars spent here but couse was solid.

The course offers very good par 3s with one located with a great Lake view and one over a marsh. A good mix of par 4s and 2 strong par 5s on the back. Several risk reward holes. A very enjoyable course to play and scenic views throughout the course.
