Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation II & III Course
About
While LakeLand Village is known for its PGA-level, 27-hole course, it is more than just a golf facility. Situated just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, the community surrounds Anderson Lake, offering three beaches with swimming areas and stunning views of Mt. Rainier to the south. It's a great option for family retreats or just a challenging round of golf. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and II that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Gen II and III golf course is arguably the most challenging combination. Strategically placed bunkers frame the undulating greens and the narrow fairways demand accuracy. Water hazards and out-of-bounds come into play throughout as well. The nines vary in level of difficulty, providing options for players of all skill levels.

We got our moneys worth!
I invited a couple friend to play here. They had not played here prior to this. We have played together many time and generally score in the 90's, but all shot about 105. We had a very good time, but our games were not on and the course seemed long...the other thought it seems like there were several par 5's....more than normal.. The weather was a bit threatening, but it did not rain and was not hot so a very nice afternoon about 65 degrees. Both guys said they want to come back and I sure will play here again as we have a beach house in Allyn.
First time at Lakeland
My first time playing here and was impressed with the course. Early tee time and was done in under three hours. Will play here again soon.
beautiful hidden course
A friend told the course was in great condition, he was right. Narrow course with lots of turns and elevation changes. 27 holes, nice people, would have given a higher rating if they had a better practice area. iron only range that drops into a gully, no chipping area that I could find.
In good shape, BUT THEY NEED A MARSHALL
Showed up and there were no carts available, bummer. 9 bucks for a terrible push cart, sad. Group in front of me were 4 total hacks. There ball traveled left and right all over the place with frequent search parties for lost balls.
would not let us pass all day 3 hour front 9. I asked the cart girl if they were all drunk and she reported that one guy was well on his way. they all disappeared around the 13th and my day was saved!! 5 1/2 hour 18. Course is in good shape, greens 8.5/10
Excellent value
We walked 9 holes and the course is in fabulous shape. Folks at the clubhouse were great to work with as well. Highly recommend.
Beautiful, needs attention
We love playing Lakeland, but you need to rake the bunkers at least once a week!! & please pick up the sunflower seeds
Great day !
Beautiful course! ( greens keeper needs to rake the bunkers in the morning!). Other than sunflower seeds on the greens & un-raked bunkers, we had a blast !
Lots of challenges
This course will give you all you can handle including birdie opportunities. Some elevation and some straight away fairways that will test your accuracy.
Very nice course
First time at this course and first time out golfing since Mar 10th due to Covid. Golfed Gen III and II, both are well designed and the course in general has a lot of character. Greens are quick but true to breaks. Some balls rolled off if not hit on front of green or front fringe.
Concrete bunkers
Course plays well, a few repairs on the fairways, staff needs to rake the bunkers at LEAST once a day !
4 stooges
We played GEN one and two, the course was in nice condition but they need to rake the sand traps on the weekend before the guys play that was our only grumble as a group
Great conditions
Gorgeous day and the course was in great shape. GUR are clearly marked and the greens were in excellent condition.
Enjoyed my round
Course layout is challenging. Almost every hole has elevation change. Putting greens were in excellent shape. Worth the drive from Tacoma.
Worth the drive!
Lakeland is a good long course, well kept, nice round !
