Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation II & III Course
About
While LakeLand Village is known for its PGA-level, 27-hole course, it is more than just a golf facility. Situated just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, the community surrounds Anderson Lake, offering three beaches with swimming areas and stunning views of Mt. Rainier to the south. It's a great option for family retreats or just a challenging round of golf. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and II that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Gen II and III golf course is arguably the most challenging combination. Strategically placed bunkers frame the undulating greens and the narrow fairways demand accuracy. Water hazards and out-of-bounds come into play throughout as well. The nines vary in level of difficulty, providing options for players of all skill levels.

A very fun course.
Fun course in very good condition considering the harsh conditions we have had Very friendly staff.
Great Winter Golf
The day was an overcast 45 degree January day. Lakeland Village was in great shape. With it being winter they had the white tees pushed up a bit, but not as far as the normal red tees. The fairways were dry except for a two of holes (#11 and #12). My playing partner and I didn't have a plugged ball in the 18 holes. We were often surprised with the bounce and roll of our drives. The greens were immaculate. The putting surfaces were smooth and a rich color of green. Best of all it was a GolfNow Hot Deal for $10 plus fees.
Lakeland 4
I played a much better game than the Seahawks , on this Saturday, the course was in great shape! other than a two some in front of us we were the only ones on the course ! excellent greens , awonderful pace of play and a well maintain course 4.9 stars!
Excellent Find!
Play this course. 27 holes and all are very good. It’s out of the way but worth the trip. I’ll be back, soon.
Aeration Alert
This is a 3 nine hole layout referred to as Generations. I played Gens 3 & 1 in that order. Gen 1 was aerated about a week ago and was still rather bumpy. It is also the shortest and tightest of the three generations. Generation 3 had not been aerated yet and was in great shape. I expect it will be punched and aeraaerated in the next week or two. They just layer the sand on Gen 2s greens today so it is closed. The course will be iffy for the next couple weeks as the green heal. Once done, the greens will be great as they usually are, just be patient. This is a nice course and the prices are great. The club house staff are awesome and very accommodating to locals and guests.
Lady Club tournament
very slow play did not tell us about lady's tournament last group went before us was late playing no one in front of them for 6 holes very slow play play so bad other players jumping holes no Marshals
Labor day Weekend Fun
I've been playing Lakeland Village Golf Courses for about four years now. The staff, particularly Karen at the front desk is awesome. The course consists of three 9 hole options or Generations. Gen 2 & 3 are by far the better two. The greens are almost always in excellent shape and this weekend was no different. The only downside is there are numerous areas that are extremely dry and without grass near the greens. Some so bad that cracks inches wide and deep. Need to water when the rain stops. Pace of play can vary, Tuesday and Wednesday are club days in the morning. On average though you can get through in about 31/2 to 4 hours. I walk to keep behind the groups ahead. Practice green is very nice but the driving range is short. I can easily but a 5 iron into the end trees.
Very good value
Took my son and two others that hadn't played the course before. We had a great time. We weren't pressured by play behind us and never had to wait on a tee. What makes the course fun are the many holes with elevation changes, modest doglegs, and good greens. Some are tough to putt because the banks and contours of the course throws you off. Unless you are a scratch or near-scratch golfer, the course is challenging enough. Some of the properties bordering some of the holes are a little too close for comfort. We played what is called the Gen II and Gen III pair of nine hole layouts. There is a Gen I, but at 2500 yards, it is a little short (still fun though). Gen II has two outstanding par 3's that not many courses can match. Many tees and greens are elevated. Even at normal rates ($54 prime time, $40 early afternoon, both with carts), this course is a very good deal.
Hidden Gem
Excellent course(27 holes) great people there, beautiful views of olympic mountains very laid back place. I will be playing at least once a week hear from now till winter or till it gets to soggy, great place!!
