Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation II & III Course
About
While LakeLand Village is known for its PGA-level, 27-hole course, it is more than just a golf facility. Situated just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, the community surrounds Anderson Lake, offering three beaches with swimming areas and stunning views of Mt. Rainier to the south. It's a great option for family retreats or just a challenging round of golf. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and II that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Gen II and III golf course is arguably the most challenging combination. Strategically placed bunkers frame the undulating greens and the narrow fairways demand accuracy. Water hazards and out-of-bounds come into play throughout as well. The nines vary in level of difficulty, providing options for players of all skill levels.

Gen 2&3
What a great course, and an absolute bang for buck. Gen 2 is pretty tight, and challenging, and the houses will scare you and are in play. Gen 3 is a blast. Good variety of holes. Course was in good shape for early March.
Lakeland Village
This course was very nice to play. It had been raining for a few days so the course was pretty soaked but otherwise good. We played the gen 2 and gen 3 first which is the newer part of the course. It is very clean and has a lot of geese which is kinda nice except for the droppings but it’s not that bad. Greens were very soft and gas even for being rained on for a few days. There are a lot of houses on the course so huge slicers beware. We then played the gen 1 original course which was a bit rough in some spots. I’m guessing it doesn’t get played quite as much but was still nicer than some places I’ve been to. It is pretty narrow and short but still challenging and fun. It was a great course and the golf now price was practically almost free to play. I would recommend for sure.
Soggy Trek
I like this course a lot! It was a rainy day after a couple of similar days so courses water levels were maxed out. Even with the up and down elevations it was hard to find a dry spot to hit from most places in the fairway. Not the courses fault but old Mother Nature! People there are so nice and provide some nice touches! I will be back when it drys out!
Great place to play.
The greens are still recovering from the airation, but the overall condition of the course was great.
Fantastic value
I've played this course three times now. It has become my go-to course because it has been easy to get on, is a fun nice layout, and is very reasonably priced even at normal rates. There are three nines. The staff generally steers people to course 2 and 3, but you owe it to yourself to play course 1 at some point. Course 1 is short and tight, course 2 medium length with some interesting green placements, and course 3 a longer more wide open course. Personally, the 1 & 2 course has more "character", but some are going to think course 1 is too short. Being an older golfer, that doesn't matter to me. Greens are reasonably fast, the fairways have that super short cut grass I seem to have trouble finding, and the layouts aren't overly punitive. Some houses are closer to fairways than they should be, but it's only a handful of holes that presents a problem. Is this as good as Gold Mountain? No. But, on days GM is packed, probably this isn't. It is worth checking out.
Great Round
First 14 holes dry then it got a little wet uncrowded and really green
I would not walk the course again. I would definitely recommend a power cart for seniors.
Fun course, not crowded
Had a nice round of golf....some of the fairway areas were pretty dry, but the greens were excellent
Greens in beautiful condition
I really enjoy playing this course. Great value, not crowded. Some damage in fairways due to heat, but overall in great condition. Looking forward to next time.
Hot deal!
Can't really complain about an $11 greens fee through GolfNow (we added a cart at the course). Booking fees are another matter, but that'll all be better with VIP membership, right? LVGC greens are the best feature of this 27-hole layout - large and lush with just enough slope to make things interesting. Fairways are parched in places and very bumpy; a cart ride will beat you up over 18 holes. Nothing pretentious about this place: A few great holes, many really good ones, and a couple of clunkers.
Wish it wasn't so far.
Nothing negative about this lovely track, except it's a long way from Seattle.
Have enjoyed every visit.
Par for the course
Lakeland Village Golf Course is a 27 hole neighborhood layout design. Generations 2 & 3 seem to be the most popular. Nice easy layout without any real obstacles other than trees and homes along the fairway. I play here regularly during the summer months as the GolfNow rates are really good. Fall through spring can be very wet as many fairways do not drain well. This last outing was nice, greens rolled well and approach shots held on green. This is a walkable course but if you ride, the carts are expensive. Most days its not too busy except Tuesday and I believe Wednesdays for morning leagues.
Village
Enjoyable round. Wide open so got around quick. Greens were firm and rolled true. Fairways were fast.
Course in great shape even with no rain and extreme heat for the past few weeks. Hardly anyone on the course.
Fun course
Lakeland has enough variety to be interesting and challenging, but not so difficult that it isn't fun.
Great course - Great day
Had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed every aspect - from the friendly staff to course conditions and pace of play. Great value for the $$ and was able to take my elderly father along with me in the cart.
Fantastic time and a very special memory for me as well.
Thanks Lakeland Village - you rock!
