Lake Land Village Golf Course - Generation II & III Course
About
While LakeLand Village is known for its PGA-level, 27-hole course, it is more than just a golf facility. Situated just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, the community surrounds Anderson Lake, offering three beaches with swimming areas and stunning views of Mt. Rainier to the south. It's a great option for family retreats or just a challenging round of golf. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and II that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Gen II and III golf course is arguably the most challenging combination. Strategically placed bunkers frame the undulating greens and the narrow fairways demand accuracy. Water hazards and out-of-bounds come into play throughout as well. The nines vary in level of difficulty, providing options for players of all skill levels.

Good course
We had a great time, course can be fun but challenging. Watch for the right hand water on 8, longer drives will roll into the water this time of year.
a fine day of golf
lovely landscapes, excellent course design, greens and fairways were well kept.a better than average golf course for sure. the golf now websitestated 18 holes and cart special, which they did not honor,(the cart that is).still a great deal and a great round of course.
Fun Course!
I played Gen II,III then swooped back to do GEN I.
I have to say I had a great time playing these courses, Gen I has some short par 4's with a good drive can land you on in 2 or 1 if you play the terrain correctly.
Pace too slow and greens too fast.
Might have a been some kind of special event in front of us causing it to be very slow on a very hot day. No Marshall. Greens played too hard/fast - weren't holding and very difficult to chip and putt taking the enjoyment out of the round.
Lakeland Village
The course was in great shape, a little hot but we all enjoyed the round.
A good walk
very nice greens , a bit wet from the sprinklers shutting off right in front of us.
Nice as always.
Greens in fabulous shape, and a great value! Highly recommend for any level of golfer. Very friendly staff as well.
Lakeland village
Generation 2 was not in great shape. But generation 3 was in good shape
Hidden Gem
Nice course! Beautiful quiet setting, long open fairways. Good price for the golf but cart rentals are high. Overall a nice experience.
ok forvthe money
Title says it all. Staff didnt know how many balls in a bucket or when it was clear to start.
Nice walk on Saturday
Nice walk on Saturday, paired with interesting people, sunny weather, 3 blow up holes but the rest were fun.
Best conditions around
Lakeland is a very fun course to play. Course Conditions are always great. Staff does an amazing job caring for course. Greens are very fast and perfectly smooth, best greens of anywhere in the area. You won't be dissapointed.
Somewhat Challenging
Many of the greens are crowned and balls easily roll off. Some of the fairways had some rough spots. There are lots of places to lose a ball. All in all a good course but challenging for some (like me) golfers.
Superior Putting Greens
You won't find greens better than these. The greens were in excellent condition. There was rarely a ball mark or blemish on them. The greens rolled true and fast. Beware of leaving yourself above the hole - if you miss your putt you will often roll past the hole for a longer putt than from where you started.
The fairways and tee boxes were in good condition. There were a few places that were in tough condition, such as the tee boxes on the par threes and one fairway recovering from winter mower damage.
Lakeland Village has a variety of holes and it never seems that you are playing a similar hole. There are a couple of holes that you have to pay attention to the side slope of the fairway on your drive. If you are not careful you will roll into the rough or worse.
I really enjoy the visual illusions that occur on the course. Hole number 11 is an example of this. It is a par 5, but from the tee box it looks as if it is the length of two par 5s.
One thing I would ask Lakeland Village to improve is to trim around the fairway yardage markers. Some of the markers were covered with grass.
This is a definite course that I will be returning to play. Watch for great pricing on GolfNow.com. I paid $12 for the 18 holes.
Lakaland Golf
Course was in excellent condition. You can make it as difficult as you would like with multiple sets of Tees. Greens are fast and true. Highly recommend this course.
Nice day nice course good friends
Nice course good shape friendly staff. Nice area for a weekend getaway
Excellent course
I have never played this course until 3 weeks ago and since then I've played it 3 times . Great course and very friendly staff.
Very nice course
Had a great time course in great shape I walked wish I had rented cart.
lots of fun
Plenty of trouble to challenge you. Played a full course in 4 hours on a Saturday what a great deal
fairways to putting greens in great shape . a nice walk in the woods.
Lakeland Village is a nice place to play
This course has 27 holes and I played what they call Generation II and III, which is their normal 18 hole route. The course was in spectacular shape, especially the greens, and as a bonus the neighborhood was in full spring peak bloom. The course routes through a (mostly) retirement community, so OB is close on many holes, sometimes both sides and in back. If you shy away from the OB on one side, there is water or trees awaiting you on the other side. People had their windows open, so there was some noise. Overall pace of play was satisfactory, but that's because I played the first 6 holes in about 50 minutes and the next 12 in over 3 hours! I caught up to the pack of retired couple foursomes that make up the majority of the golfers here. Only thing they can improve is having the water fountains on the course actually provide water. Overall a nice place to play and a great value through the golfnow hot deal I got.
