While LakeLand Village is known for its PGA-level, 27-hole course, it is more than just a golf facility. Situated just 45 minutes west of Tacoma, the community surrounds Anderson Lake, offering three beaches with swimming areas and stunning views of Mt. Rainier to the south. It's a great option for family retreats or just a challenging round of golf. The course is divided into three nines known as Generation I, II, and II that are played in different 18-hole combinations. The Gen II and III golf course is arguably the most challenging combination. Strategically placed bunkers frame the undulating greens and the narrow fairways demand accuracy. Water hazards and out-of-bounds come into play throughout as well. The nines vary in level of difficulty, providing options for players of all skill levels.

Worth the drive

We got a GolfNow deal with a cart, range balls and a soda. The driving range we used was a little short although they have another range for longer clubs. The staff was friendly and even let us off before our tee time as they had room. We got around 18 in about 3:45. That's how golf should be played.

I'm a Rook

Lots of water, super nice staff, feels like a cross between summer camp and a country club. I was offered a beer by a resident who's house fell victim to my lack of driving skills.

Great Weather & Rate

Beautiful day in February. Course was wet in some area because of last weeks Pineapple Express, but over all in good shape. Walked and played in 4Hrs.
Course will punish you if you don't keep in the fairway. Definitely will return especially with a great GOLF NOW rate

Lakeland Golfer

Great place to play especially for the price. Fairways were very wet and soggy. Guess that can be expected for this time of year. Played here earlier in the year and courses was in awesome shape. Don't let the weather stop you, get out there and enjoy the golf and staff of Lakeland Village.

Beautiful Day for Winter Golf

The course was pretty dry for as much rain as we've had. I played it on a sunny day. First 9 holes were fast, the second nine, I got behind groups of men! The greens were nice. I had to use cart path only, which wasn't that big of a deal. Nice course.

Retirement Community with Golf

This is a retirement community that has three nines, not what i would call 27 holes of golf.
Generation 3 is a good nine, i did not care for gen 2, did not play gen 1, but took a quick look at a couple holes and it was similar to gen 2, extremely narrow on most holes with OB right and left.
I will not be back to this place but would advise you to play gen 3 twice to get 18 holes

nice, very nice

Great deal through Golfnow.com. The course was in very nice shape - greens had been "punched" a couple weeks before but had almost completely healed. This is a great course, albeit a bit long (generation 3 - holes 1 & 3 - longer than your average golfer can hope to reach in regulation) for the senior set.

the course was marked very well, the staff were friendly and veryhelpfull which made it a very enjoyable round of golf.

course was kept ,nice condition direction to the next holes were great, did not get lost(that's one for me)the greens were in great shape, no mowers on the course to distract me, which is unusual to say the least. over all the staff was polite, courteous and the apparel was clean and neat, hers to the staff hip hip hooray.

GOOD TIME

COURSE WAS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE EXCEPT THE GREENS WERE A LITTLE SLOW AND BUMPY DUE TO AERIFICATION RECENTLY. OTHERWISE, A NICE COURSE TO PLAY ANYTIME. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF.

A fun course to play

Really enjoyed playing today. The greens were very fast, never could seem to adjust! Several areas that should have been mark'd as ground under repair! The sand in the traps was very poor, full of gravel.other than those concerns the course was in great shape. why is there no refreshment cart out on the course or water for that matter. attention to detail is important and management should listen to players. All in all enjoyed my round and will be back again.

Course in excellent shape. Got out on time and
speed of play was good even though we were a

Lakeland Village

All in all it was an ok day of golf. I played with my friend and we decided on Lakeland Village. Even for all the hot dry weather the course was fairly soft. Numerous greens on the Gen 2 side were very soft. Around the hole was farely torn up with numerous indentations from foot traffic. The Gen 3 side was pretty good and longer.

Good course

We had a great time, course can be fun but challenging. Watch for the right hand water on 8, longer drives will roll into the water this time of year.

Fun Course!

I played Gen II,III then swooped back to do GEN I.
I have to say I had a great time playing these courses, Gen I has some short par 4's with a good drive can land you on in 2 or 1 if you play the terrain correctly.

Pace too slow and greens too fast.

Might have a been some kind of special event in front of us causing it to be very slow on a very hot day. No Marshall. Greens played too hard/fast - weren't holding and very difficult to chip and putt taking the enjoyment out of the round.
