About
The Riverbend Golf Complex sits along the Green River in Kent Valley, Wash. Owned and operated by the City of Kent, the complex offers a championship, 18-hole course and a mini-golf course. The 18-hole course is one of the busiest in the state with more than 65,000 rounds played on it annually. The golf course sprawls across a relatively flat landscape, making it easily walkable. Though it may not be hilly, that doesn't mean it's trouble free. There are more than 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout and three lakes come into play as well. The layout is player friendly, with enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels.

Winter golf
Winter golf in WA is what it is. This course sits in a valley so it's pretty wet. Standing water on a lot of the greens. It's close to where I live so with the $25.

Soggy but playable
This course has a good variety of challenges, and five (or more?) sets of tees. It was in surprisingly good condition given all the rain and the fact that it's in the river valley.
Avoid During Winter!
Wow, what a slog we had at Riverbend today. I’m a year-round golfer and never have I encountered so many greens with standing water and bunkers with more water than sand. Forget about trying to sink a putt on one of these greens; trying to lay up near the fringe and chipping was preferable to trying to blast a ball through standing water with your putter. The fairways weren’t much better. I’d say some better winter prep is definitely in order.
Frosty day
Fun layout, friendly staff. Always enjoy playing here in spite of the 90 minute frost delay.
Course was in decent condition considering the amount of rain the night before
Good. Could be really good.
Gets tons of play. Needs some drainage work. Severs greens need to be elevated to help with drainage. Some at the water line Which keeps them wet and at times unmovable. I really like it though.
Good, for November
Any time you can play in November, its a gift. The course was soggy (rained more days than not this month) but not too bad. The staff is great and the course has a good mix of long and short holes, with many sets of tees.
Good. Could be great.
Like the layout. If it hasn’t rained in two months conditions are pretty good. If it has, you’ll need to bring your mud game.
Nice Muni
Riverbend is always fun and a challenge. Can be a bit slow but that’s because it’s popular. The new range was much needed. Overall, a great value and a fun course.

An enjoyable course to play
Best t played when there hasn’t been a lot of rain as the greens and bunkers retain standing water. Otherwise a fun course to play.
