About
The Riverbend Golf Complex sits along the Green River in Kent Valley, Wash. Owned and operated by the City of Kent, the complex offers a championship, 18-hole course and a mini-golf course. The 18-hole course is one of the busiest in the state with more than 65,000 rounds played on it annually. The golf course sprawls across a relatively flat landscape, making it easily walkable. Though it may not be hilly, that doesn't mean it's trouble free. There are more than 50 bunkers strategically placed throughout and three lakes come into play as well. The layout is player friendly, with enough variety to appeal to players of all skill levels.

Slow pace, beginners course
Tee time was at 6:18pm and because the groups in front of mine were so slow we were only able to golf 11 holes before the course was shut down and we were asked to leave. It was about 8:40 at that time (that is embarrassing) Also there were several portions of the fairway and rough that were swampy and in need of lots of TLC. However, it only cost $20 so the value was good enough that I didn’t leave feeling dissatisfied.
The course is in pretty good shape and the pace of play was good. The course is a little tight, but it is not long so you don't need to pull out the big stick. on all the holes. The sand traps need work! Some of them were just mud and several were very wet. My wife and I had a very nice day and we played with a very nice father and son.

Great Course. You betta hit it straight! Lol
Riverbend was the course i needed to really see if my golf game has changed and it did! Very straight forward course, only one hole i think you may not be able to see the Pin from the box. But again I’ll be back!
Extra slow players need more marshalls
So I have played her a lot and generally its good. In fact we player back to back days but today was a full hour longer round and it was 100% caused by players not playing appropriate tees, being unaware that playing multiple balls is just not ok and without calling the clubhouse, there was no marshall to help scoop people along.

Forgotten Course
I haven't played here since they sold the little par 3 , forgot how much I like this course. Easy walking, great features and friendly staff. They put some of the money from sale into driving range and maintenance on big course. Greens were really nice ( except for a couple with fungus damage, which is normal on this side of the PNW.) I will being playing this more often this summer.
