Good price
Quality was ok, price was great, course is unique, fun from the blue tees.
Won’t go back
GolfNow offered prepaid range balls during check in, so I thought why not just pay now, huge mistake, the 2 gentleman working in the pro shop, first said there’s no way to prepay for range balls. After returning with my phone and showing the gentleman where on GolfNow you can add a warm up bucket, I was then told that I didn’t purchase it, well guess what I was charged thur GolfNow and then the golf course also charged me and still wanted to argue about it, at this point I walked away form him to try and enjoy the round. So today I call and speak with Trevor and he says that it’s not his problem and take it up with GolfNow. Thanks a lot!! I then proceed to spend another 30 minutes on the phone with GolfNow. Only to be told to dispute the charge with my bank. Another phone call and another 30 minutes wasted. As you can see below the $5.01 charge on my bank account
Locals seem like they own the place.
This was my fourth time playing here and the second time my tee time was jumped by some locals. I was told I was first out and had the course to myself only to run into a slower twosome on the next hole. They didn't have a tee time and just went out without checking into the clubhouse.
I've never had this happen at any courses I play but it's happened here twice in 4 plays. At least it was only a twosome, it was a foursome the first time.
Course in great condition, even with the rains
Just played.
Course is not soggy, yet
Not getting any rolls, but its not plugging either
Greens in great shape.
Tess and fairways solid.
Some spots under repair, but they are actively working on fixing.
Some leaves, but no one in our group lost any to them.
Cart Paths
The cart paths were very rough. Fairways & greens were excellent. I rated overall 4* because of the cart paths.
Only one complaint...
The fairways and greens were in great condition! The rough was playable and cut to a good length. My only complaint were the cart paths. They really need to be dug up and put in new asphalt. I really enjoyed playing Mint Valley!
Mint Valley is a gem
It is worth the drive to play Mint Valley for both the affordable price and the great friendly staff, and the course is in great condition as well.
A smidge shorter than a lot of courses so I don't tend to swing as hard thereby making better contact
Excellent as always. Drove an hour and 15 both ways to play here. That should tell you something.
Driver not required
Great course to leave the driver in the bag and play a strategic round with your irons. Driver recommended on 2 holes. Great condition for late summer golf, especially for the price. I will keep going back
Best value in Portland Area
Great value. (Super cheap with Golf now hot deal)
Course is in great shape.
Design is awesome.
Have to use every club.
Really need to be careful just pulling driver
Makes you setup a lot of shots or your bogeying.
Fun course with plenty of trouble
First things first. The greenskeepers work HARD on this course to make it in really great shape. The fairways are nice and there's not too much tall grass to eat errant shots. But there are more than enough trees to create trouble. There is some well placed sand and water, and the greens rolled true and semi-fast, absolutely giving you a chance if you can get that putter going.
Worth the drive if you want something different from Portland or Vancouver, WA
Love This Course
I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing course conditions (fast greens) and challenging layout. The pace of play was slow but it was a Sunday early
Morning tee time right after their men’s club teed off. I will definitely be coming back as a regular course.
Beautiful Course, No complaints
I’ll start by saying that this course was an absolute joy to play. The course is well manicured, and has a fun layout that allows you to either play it safe, or challenge yourself and really go for some unlikely shots. The carts are new and very cool, with digital scorecards and gps readings. There are several dog legs on this course, so definitely be aware of that. Other than that, everything about the course was fantastic!
