Homestead
We played on a cool day with low wind which helped us. Challenging front nine and heavy rough demands fairway play to score. Greens were smooth and approach shots stuck nicely. Great golf course.
Always fun
I have played this course a lot and I have to agree with some of the earlier reviews. There are several hidden hazards and lots of water to deal with. Once you know where the trouble is the course is challenging but fair. Course conditions were good with the exception of the bunkers which are filled with a claylike substance that's full of pebbles. The greens look patchy because two types of grass are fighting it out but they rolled true. If you like walking you'll enjoy playing here as the layout is basically flat.
Enjoyed a nice round
Played with my brother and nephew and enjoyed the round. Course has been kept up well over the years.
It always seems to play fairly fast even when course looks busy.
Caution, there is more water out there than you might expect...
Beautiful Golf Course
This was our fist time playing at Homestead and what a beautiful course. A bit challenging with all the bunkers and water but it was all good.
Good condition and many features.
I enjoyed to play at this course with good condition.
Price offered on line booking slide different from on site payment: plus tax; no warm up balls. And it's difficult for the first time player as there is No map neither instruction for the course layoff.
4 for fun
Overall excellent course. Played with my friends from the Okanagan where they have some exceptional courses they were very impressed.
Get the course map before you begin
Beautiful course and beautiful day. If this is your first play you better buy the course map/book. Wish the young man at the counter would have made the suggestion. Many hidden hazards and doglegs with unknown landing areas. Water, sand, mogals and doglegs to where? We lost several balls. Would love to try it again.
Taking gramma for golf
Played here a lot, and my gramma who had never played there before enjoyed it.
Can't wait to get back there again!
Bday outing for my husband- included an overnight at the Chrysalis-- also amazing, but I digress! We arrived at out tee time and the weather was so bad-- rain, wind-- but the report said good weather was coming. I asked if there was anyway to bump up our tee time till noon, and the guy at the desk took a look in his computer and said no problem, come back around noonish. He put us in for 1228 I think. Very nice! . We went and looked around town, went into pro-golf, got coffee, and the skies had indeed cleared! We went back and got right on...I'm sure the weather had a lot to do with it, but by 2p, the sun was out! Considering how much it had POURED the previous two days the course was in GREAT shape! Pace of play was good... I graded it down a star because some guy cut in front on theback nine-- no we didn't stop to eat or anything- he showed up outta nowhere and sez oh sorry they put me on the back 9. Well, 4 holes later he disappears and we watch him walk to his house with his clubs and go inside- yeah, we see where you live, loser-just a jerk for no reason, or feels entitled to do what he wants because he lives there... Anyways, I hate liars and cheaters-- he is both and probably a sandbagger to boot! Ha. Oh we'll. we finished a great round, great course, and are planning to come back soon even though its a bit of a trek for us! Go! You will be pleasantly happy!
good course/poor service
I liked the course, but was not offered a map of course without paying even though there wasn't even a basic map on the score card. there are hidden hazards that you don't see until you get over a hill. this course is too cheap to provide even a basic course layout on the card. I complained and they gave me a course map. enjoy but beaware.
Beautiful location of mountains.
This course has great holes. Nice finishing hole. Nice place for food after your round
Challenging course
Homestead is a beautiful, yet challenging course. There are many sand traps and water comes into play on almost every hole. However, once you know where the problems are, you just have to try harder to play target golf. The views are spectacular!!
Great course.. Green fees are ...CHEAP!
I played the course in 3 hrs 40 min, great value for your $, I booked online through golfnow.com.. When I tee'd off at 3 pm it was only 24$ U.S. you can't go wrong.
The course was in great shape, easy to walk, restrooms located on the course.
The fact that your playing on fairways that have beutiful houses located on both sides make for some breath taking views.
The food afterwards at the 9 bistro was fabulous, very, very, good food, and reasonable.
You should definitely put this course on your bucket list.
Amazing Course
This place use to be so bad 4 years ago. Now new owners and look at what happen. Spend a bit and now the course is amazing. Love it
Outstanding Day
Outstanding course combined with perfect weather made for a great day!
A challenging course for first timers
Watch out for a few holes where the water hazards aren't visible off the tee (or on your second shot on the first par 5). A course map on the scorecard would help. Greens were in very good condition, not super fast but putts rolled true on every green.
the price for golf not as quoted
I do not like the way Golf now quotes your Fees
The statement says you owe so much to pay
and when you get to the golf course, you have to pay
the tax which is another $4.00
why can the tax not be included in the print out.
Beautiful, well manicured golf course
We had a great day at Homestead. The course was in fabulous shape!! Beautiful and green. The greens were great but challenging at times. Play was a little slow but overall we had fun. Enjoyed a wonderful meal afterwards. Food was great.
Great Golf
Really enjoyed the course and the conditions were great, the greens were consistent and we finished well within the recommended timeline. Will definitely be back to play again!
