A nice course gone bad.
Sadly, Homestead golf course has steadily gone downhill for the last 10 years. Little to no course maintenance. Despite very dry weather the fairways hadn't been mown in some time. Even the tee boxes were in rough shape. Greens are bumpy & slow. Bunkers are a blend of dirt & rocks. Not sure if ownership isn't willing to spend money or if they can't hire workers. The rates are low but you definitely get what you pay for.
Very muddy
Even though we had a few days of dry weather, the course is still muddy in lots of sections, course drainage could improve. Still a fun course and the price is right.
Fun Course,
How much do you want? This course can be long enough to challenge even single digit handicappers. The lakes sometimes extend in to the fairway, so take a good look before you tee off.
Overall I liked it and would play it again
Some of the greens were a little rough, but overall a nice track for a course entirely surrounded by houses. No one encouraging slow players to allow faster players to play through or pick up the pace.
"Always a great day"
Hands down the best value for such a great course in northwestern Washington...staff and course is always on point!!!
Fun
Only thing that would make it better would be that the restaurant would be open for breakfast and there would be an alcohol serving cart attendant.
Will be back
This is our first time playing Homestead and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We played on a Saturday morning and the pace of play was great we played in four hours. Was able to get a good deal on golf now.
Worth the drive
Great layout. Greens were in good shape but the bunkers were pretty rough. Still a great bargain.
Great course
Lots of doglegs, and lots of water. Greens, and fairways in great shape.
Very friendly staff
Great 18th hole
Course was fantastic other than the sand traps had big rocks in them.
Resort style course in scenic setting
Wide fairways, simple layout with mostly level greens make the course approachable for all levels of play. Lower handicappers will enjoy the views of the mountain and enough challenge to satisfy.
