Grate day
Just a wonderful day love to get back to that course and remember all the water, havent lost that meny balls in a long time
Challenging with good variety of holes!
This course presents a good variation of holes. The
greens are challenging and on a windy day the holes
into the wind become quite lengthy. Golfing here
should be on everyones bucket list.
Fun course to play
course was in great shape and fun to play - the only negative point was the pin placement on the 15th green - it was located in the middle of a rough dead area - it would have been better for the front pin location to have been in a different location - there was several other options- it would also be nice if they could replace the bunkers with some fine sand / they used construction sand / had lots of small pebbles in it - love the lay out
Fun Challenging but Fair
Course knowledge will be an asset. First time playing the course. Will play several holes differently next round. One green had a spot that was in very bad condition and for some unknown reason this is where the pin was. Open fairways so you can feel comfortable to swing away. Hit 14 of 14 Fairways off the tee.
Some great pin locations and interesting visual elevation changes affecting the speed on the greens.
Good walking course.
Nice Course
We played the course 3 times in 4 days. The course is in great shape and it has alot of ponds to deal with. The first time you play it you will make a few mistakes as to which way the course proceeds but that is part of the fun playing a new course. We had a great time at this course. The 14 hole was the toughist for me to play. It is a litle narrow off the tee box and then gets even more narrow with water on both sides to an elevated green. Each time I lost a ball on this hole.
Boring
The price was good only 17.50 each for my wife and I so that part was good. After the first hole the rest the holes kind of blended together, I mean it was all the same, there was nothing that was really different about them, ponds everywhere but we're very dirty and murky. We thought there was to many houses and you had to cross over the street a few times and had to listen to cars go by wasn't quite at all. The staff people were very nice but we're running pro shop and snack shack at same time? One extra person would have fixed that.
Great course and great value
Always enjoy going to Homestead and the restaurant after is great.
Great course
Visiting a friend in Bellingham. Got a GolfNow Hot Time for $18, so I thought I'd give the course a try. Had rained earlier, so weather was overcast & slightly humid. Course was damp, but not muddy. I played by myself in under 3:15. Course has tree-lined fairways, which are fairly wide. Dog-legs can be "cut" to shorten holes. Fairway & first cut are well manicured. Greens are large, have character, are average speed & accept balls well. Young woman behind the counter was friendly & courteous. Awesome value for $18. Would definitely play again.
Lovely course all around
One of my favourite courses! Challenging yet fair. Highly recommended.
Solid test of your game!
Excellent layout, varied holes, undulating greens that run true. Lots of water and some trees in play. Turf conditions can be soft after lots of rain but the course is firming up very nicely as we are coming out of winter rains and into sunny spring! Go Play!
Good Day at Homestead
Had a great day for golf at Homestead. Course was in good condition for this time of year. Fairways were quite dry, even in the low spots. There were some minor dead areas on some of the greens but not serious. A couple of negatives. There was no water in any of the ball washers nor were there cloths attached. Also the sand traps were not in the best of condition. A number of them had standing water in them and the sand in general was quite hard packed.
Perfect Day!
Was a great day. My only complaint was the huge chunks of grass on fairway from mowing. Not a big deal other then that course was awesome. Course and restaurant personnel were extremely nice as usual.
Great shape for spring & challenging round
Homestead isn't horribly difficult but it will punish you if you can't hit the fairway off the tee.
I had a great 3.5 hour round playing as a walking single on a day that was supposed to rain but didn't. Most of the greens are fairly accessible so it isn't too punishing for the higher handicap player but push back to the tips and driving accuracy becomes critical if you want to score.
great shape but dirty course
great course but too much bird waste on fairway and greens... too dirty
winter golf
This course has gotten much better over the years at being playable during the winter months. it used to be unplayable for weeks whenever it rained. The course was muddy and soggy in places, but that is to be expected this time of year. It was in better shape than I expected it to be.
The course was wet very soggy.
Every hole was very wet in places. Balls would plug deep and slow play looking for them. The counter person displayed disregard towards GolfNow as a "3rd party" booker of tee times. His attitude was employable. The golf pro needs a one on one to change his attitude about the value of GolfNow. The offer to play included balls to warm up but range was closed for 3 hours to cut the grass, thus no warm up. No other compensation offerer. Even a, "I'm sorry but I could offer you a coffee or cold drink" would have been nice. I will play there again but not till summer.
Bad time of yr
A great course but this time of year is very very wet and muddy. Summer time is best time to play this course
Winter Golf
Playing golf Feb. 11 in the Northwest is always a bonus. Unfortunately this course was barely playable. The course was so soft that every ball plugged and every step was taken trying to avoid sinking in mud. I have played this course many times in the summer when it has been in great condition but it is definitely not a good winter course. It is an old farm converted into a golf course with little or no sand base.
Great resort style course!
Really enjoyed my round . This is a fun layout with lots of protected greens to make it more challenging. I'll be back for another round.
