Highlands Golf Course
About
Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma, Wash. is a nine-hole course that can be played in just over an hour. All of the holes are par 3 except for one par 4. It's not your typical nine-hole course, the layout is like a full-size course shrunken down to a par 3 with several challenging elements that will test your short-game skills. The terrain is relatively flat, making it an easy golf course to walk, and it is relatively protected from the winds. The sand traps are sparse but strategically placed, and water hazards come into play occasionally as well. Highlands Golf Course is an ideal layout for beginners to get some short-game practice, but for more advanced players it's an excellent option for a quick round that is more challenging than your average nine-hole layout.

Fun course!!
I play here often, once a week at least. When I have limited time to get on the course this is where I go you can find me here after work a couple days a week.
Good for Beginners
Small course and not too challenging. Good rates. Perfect for a person just picking up the game
Nice day to play golf
Course was pretty nice, somewhat slow play, Fairways were dry and brown. Greens were very good and Tee boxes in good shape.
Great course
I love playing here in the afternoons is such a fun par 3 course.
Excellent
Had a great experience. My girlfriend is interested in learning the game and the course offered the perfect layout and difficulty. Conditions are not the greatest but much improved from previous times.
Great for short game practice
You can get really good with your wedges and short irons at this course.
Improvements everywhere
The new owner is really pouring money and time into the whole place. Bigger pond with a fountain coming soon. New tee box, fresh sand in the bunkers, fixed watering system, and the clubhouse will soon have food and drink. This course is short, but not really easy. It gives a good experience to both beginning and accomplished golfers.
good for beginners
this is a perfectly fun par 3 course. very affordable, plays fast, is great for kids and beginners. rough around the edges, but the greens are just fine. I would play here once a year, and more with my young nephews.
9 Hole course
Great course to work on your short game. It was very easy to walk and the greens are well maintained.
Spotify
Course needs some TLC on the greens. Hope the new greens keeper can get it back to better shape for play.
Good for winter
Course play well for the time of the year.
Greens were in good shape also.
Nice place to play.
Great value for the price
9-hole executive course with a putting green adjacent to the first tee and a chipping green parallel to the 9th green. The course layout is fairly short with some of the tee shots requiring accuracy to maneuver from tall fir trees that guards front of green on approach. The greens were in prime condition when I played and looking healthy. Pace of play will vary but it's suitable to any type of player.
Nice par 3 course
Nice and challenging par 3 course. The greens need some work, they were a little rough!
Great and easy play!
Always a good round at highlands. A very well kept par 3 course, that will help improve your short game. Highly recommend!
Cold, Wet & Fun
It was just above freezing when I played. The greens were damp but still played fast. The course was dry and easy to walk. It's is in in great shape for winter play. My wife walked the 1.3 mile course with me to keep track of my strokes (I loose track of how many times I hit the ball sometimes....) She also enjoyed walking the course. It wasn't crowded and I could play at my pace without pressure. It's a short quick iron's course that's fun to play.
Nice par 3 course
A very nice par 3 course. Fun to play except they are very busy with a lot of new players making it slow play. If you don't mind waiting at each tee box it is a pretty good course. Reasonable rates.
