Highlands Golf Course
About
Highlands Golf Course in Tacoma, Wash. is a nine-hole course that can be played in just over an hour. All of the holes are par 3 except for one par 4. It's not your typical nine-hole course, the layout is like a full-size course shrunken down to a par 3 with several challenging elements that will test your short-game skills. The terrain is relatively flat, making it an easy golf course to walk, and it is relatively protected from the winds. The sand traps are sparse but strategically placed, and water hazards come into play occasionally as well. Highlands Golf Course is an ideal layout for beginners to get some short-game practice, but for more advanced players it's an excellent option for a quick round that is more challenging than your average nine-hole layout.

Highlands Golf Course is Solid
The location and cost is hard to beat. Great neighborhood par three style course. The staff is excellent and very friendly. It's a laid back knock around nine type of course. Leave your woods in the trunk and go out for a nice walk with your buddies. Also a great place to work on your short game....
Amazing greens!
Under new ownership. The green quality is phenomenal. Real fast running greens. I know they’re working on everything else and it will be a real hotspot very soon! Hard to beat $10 for a nice afternoon.
Short game paradise !
New ownership, new club house , new landscaping. New vibe on a older course . Perfect for beginners and kids !!!
Nice little course
Friendly staff. Greens were in amazing shape. The new owner is really fixing the place up. Great little course to work on your short game.
Great course to practice irons!
Just a fun and fast course on a busy saturday afternoon for me. The guy at the front counter was extremely friendly and helpful. The amenities are fair only because there is construction going on. Can't wait to see the final result!
Nice 9 hole short and sweet. Wish the fairways were green though. Otherwise great course friendly staff.
Fun course!!
I play here often, once a week at least. When I have limited time to get on the course this is where I go you can find me here after work a couple days a week.
Good for Beginners
Small course and not too challenging. Good rates. Perfect for a person just picking up the game
Nice day to play golf
Course was pretty nice, somewhat slow play, Fairways were dry and brown. Greens were very good and Tee boxes in good shape.
Great course
I love playing here in the afternoons is such a fun par 3 course.
Excellent
Had a great experience. My girlfriend is interested in learning the game and the course offered the perfect layout and difficulty. Conditions are not the greatest but much improved from previous times.
Great for short game practice
You can get really good with your wedges and short irons at this course.
Improvements everywhere
The new owner is really pouring money and time into the whole place. Bigger pond with a fountain coming soon. New tee box, fresh sand in the bunkers, fixed watering system, and the clubhouse will soon have food and drink. This course is short, but not really easy. It gives a good experience to both beginning and accomplished golfers.
good for beginners
this is a perfectly fun par 3 course. very affordable, plays fast, is great for kids and beginners. rough around the edges, but the greens are just fine. I would play here once a year, and more with my young nephews.
