Allenmore Golf Course

About
Allenmore Golf Course is located in the heart of Tacoma but thanks to the beautiful setting with Mt. Rainier serving as a backdrop, it feels like it's actually miles from the city. The layout is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees and though it's not particularly long, it offers plenty of variety. It's a course where you'll have to use every club in your bag. Trouble lurks at almost every turn in the form of doglegs, trees, or out-of-bounds. Water hazards also come into play. With uphill, sidehill, and downhill lies, the course is never boring and while there are some challenging holes, there are also birdie opportunities if you play strategically. In addition to the golf course, Allenmore also has a short-iron driving range and a practice facility with chipping and putting greens.

green
first 9holes was punched holes. there was no notic about it
May be last time for a while
Pace of play was atrocious. Over 2.5 hours for 9 holes. No course Marshall telling people to speed up. I may not be back for a while.
Not good
Poor pace of play. Expensive. No Marshall out on course on a Saturday. Paid for 18, left after 9 holes (3 hours) due to 3 groups waiting on each hole. Pathetic
Great course
Very nice course. Greens were perfect speed not to fast not to slow. Fairways were lush and green. Pace of play was great. Just wish they had some nets up so you could hit a driver at the “driving range” area they have. I can’t believe I’ve never played here before.
Over 5 hours.
5 hours 20 minutes is way too long. I know it was a nice day, but this was ridiculous. First cart girl I saw, I asked her how she was doing. Proceeded to gripe about getting change as a tip!
City course
One of those easy to play park courses. Decent but not exciting.
Great Course
I have played here often, it's in great shape and has been well maintained. I would recommend because of course conditions, value, and the restaurant.
A nice public course
The course is close to city center and you don’t have to drive far to play at the course. It is a decent public course, which is reasonably maintained. The second nine is more interesting than the first nine. The condition of the green is very good. It is definite worth the money you pay.
A Great layout with room to spray it!
I love this centrally located track that features a nice park land style layout that rewards long hitters yet offers forgiveness as well (in case you don’t always find the fairway.)
Easy to walk with Some moderate elevation changes and a nice variety of holes. Perfect for out of town visits and the price is reasonable for the area.
Clover
Allenmore has a clover issue or something similar to it. Makes balls hard to find at times. Cart girl was griping about not getting enough tips. Found that rather disconcerting
Hidden Jewel
Great 18 hole golf course in Central Tacoma, WA. Its been around since the 30's - could not locate at first as your website has wrong address it should be 2013 S. Cedar St.
Great course and pace of play
I rarely play golf in the afternoon, the pace of play was great on the front nine and slowed the back just a smidge, 4 and half hour round
