The Trails Golf Club

I have yet to play the course so I can’t rate anything.

I showed up ready to play and there was a tournament going on and I needed to be somewhere in 4 hours. I did not think I would have made the appointment. So I suggested to the golf shop if it would be convenient to reschedule and they were super helpful.

So now I have a rain check.

Course is very confusing, lost a couple holes due to no signs and having to backtrack. Fairways and greens were in great shape.

Not a very challenging course , mostly open fairways .

The course was in really good condition. Greens ran smooth but wasn’t the fastest. Fairways were nice. It’s an interesting layout with a lot of irons off the tee. Cool experience.

Course has a super fun layout with water in play on about half of the holes. Fairways are tree lined to keep you honest off the tee. Fairways are still a bit thin from winter but they are definitely playable. Greens were in excellent shape. Greens rolled smooth at medium-fast pace. Most greens had some undulations but nothing ridiculous. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The course is in good shape and the greens are getting better.

The course is very very nice! I’m really glad I had a opportunity to play it. Having said that I don’t think I would ever play it again due to extremely high price. They’re charging Arizona prices and don’t have quite course to justify that price. Most of the greens had scabbed over spots on them. The fairways were in fantastic shape and due to the high prices there wasn’t hardly a soul on the course at the time I played, so having basically the whole course to ourself was really nice.

This course is in the best shape it has been in since I moved here 3 years ago. Fairways are full and the greens are rolling better than ever. The pace of play has never been an issue for me and I play alone all the time. There are rarely 5 some, 6 some groups so don’t fear that. The practice area is top notch and you can cover all the shots you want to hit. Alan, the PGA pro is awesome and so accommodating. My only issue is that some of the greens staff don’t really get etiquette and noise issues but that is rare. This course is back!!

There are some tight holes requiring an iron off the tee, some wide open hole so you can rip your driver, and some strategy holes where you either lay up or go for it.

Greens were in perfect shape. All in all it was a lot of fun and worth the price.

Club members allowed to go anywhere and start anywhere on the course. Fivesomes, wives not playing, kids etc. Nice track but slow place to play. Needs a marshal to discourage fivesomes and sixsomes. For that aggravation and for what you get, should be 40$ during the week not 75 to 85$.

This course was in good shape, and it was a good challenge for golfers. This is normally a members only course, but you can play it on golfnow for $65. I got stuck behind a sixsome on the front nine, finally got rid of them at the turn. However, there was a foursome that decided to start on the back nine in front of me. Since I was playing by myself this made the round extremely slow. I got tired of waiting and just gave up and left after 11 holes. I would not recommend this course, unless you want to play a 5-6 hour round.
