Very good experience
We have thought for years that we wanted to play Riverside but had never made the trip from Ashland, Ky to Mason, WV. — nearly a two-hour trip. So glad we finally made it there. I played with my son and daughter and we had a wonderful time, even with a typical Saturday crowd and a tournament on the course.
The course is right on the Ohio River, with beautiful scenery and a number of water holes on the course. Even the drive along the River to get to the course was enjoyable. We’ll return, we had a great time, and played well. Thanks to the friendly and accommodating staff.
First trip of 22
As usual Riverside was in excellent condition. All the staff were grade A representatives of the club. Made the drive well worth it and will be back sooner than later!
Great deal for a great course.
Was able to purchase a Hot Deal for a 12:30 pm tee time which worked perfectly with my schedule. The course is in great condition and ahead of others in our area for the end of April. Layout is not long but always challenging. I always enjoy playing here and would recommend it highly.
8am tee time staff didn’t show till 9 am
I booked a tee time around 8 am and the staff did not get there until 9 am. There were multiple groups who were waiting to play.
Straightforward Course Along Ohio River
I was looking for a late season round on a course I had not played before and Riverside fit the bill. Course is on completely flat land on the Ohio River. Most of the holes are very pedestrian and what you see is what you get. There are a handful of unique holes, but I would not go here expecting to find a hidden gem.
Conditions and pace of play were very good.
Excellent condition but very slow
This course is in pristine condition. The greens and fairways are outstanding. They’ve done a great job keeping it looking good even with all the rain we’ve had lately. The only issue is the pace of play. 4.5 hours to play 18. This needs attention.
Poor greens
Green are showing a great deal of play with too many ball marks. Apparently no one that plays this course will fix there ball mark on the green. Very hard to putt with all the ball marks.
Played a fast front nine and when we made the turn a twosome had jumped in front of us. 3 hours later after only getting 7 holes played on the back 9 we gave up. Decent course and friendly people. Regulars do not fix their divots so the grens are choppy
