Regulation at Oak Ridge Golf Course

Oak Ridge is an interesting course and a good value. The par 70 track would be considered easier than most, except for the small elevated greens which make you hit good pitch shots on just about every hole. The fairways are a bit rough, lots of crabgrass and mudballs, but the greens are excellent, On this day they were not particularly fast, but are in outstanding condition and putt very true, and the undulations make them challenging. A few quirky holes, like #5 where a tree largely blocks your tee shot and it's hard to know where to hit the ball, but big hitters can go for the green. The highway 26 construction has probably hurt their business this year, but the staff is friendly and they offer various discounts including "five dollar fridays." This is an enjoyable course, worth a visit.
