Prairie Woods Golf Course

About
Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

First time
Lots of twists and turns. For a country muni, it was a blast!
Awesome place
Love this place, lots of fun challenging holes. Back 9 is amazing.
Great place to golf. Can be bullies about pairing up.
Played my second time there, put on the online reservation that I would like to golf by myself. The next week I got an email from the golf course, stating that I should pick other times if I want to golf alone. It said you WILL be paired up this Saturday. Got there was told to pair up, skipped the first hole enjoyed the rest of the seventeen holes by myself. BTW the pair up, was two walking one in a cart. They were the first ones out that morning.
Always a good place to play
The only reason it wasn’t 5 stars across the board was
because it was cart path only that day and there wasn’t water on the course or a beverage cart and it got warmer than expected that day, other than that it was a very pleasant round
Hidden gem
First time playing this course and I was surprised to see how well it was set up, kept clean, & the overall course condition. I’ve driven past many of times and always thought it was just a bunch of holes in the middle of a field, wasn’t very appealing. It’s not that at all! My wife and I were very happy with our experience at Prairie Woods, especially the back 9. This one will go on my list to play more often. Thx
Great scenery. Plays to average golfers. A few fun unique holes. Some tee boxes need work.
Nice course
Course plays a bit shorter. Plenty of holes with quick turns that require well placed shots. Plenty difficult for a mid/high handicap. Staff was friendly. Play here often. Overall, as usual, a good experience
Challenging course!
Awesome course, I played the day after it stormed through the night so it was a little wet but they were out there fixing the conditions and making the bunkers playable. It's a bit pricey or I would probably play more, but I'll always come back a few times every season. If your into golf and in this area I highly recommend a round here!
