Nice course
Considering the dry weather we have been having, the course was in very good shape.
Nice course
Could be better maintained
Lakeside course not in great shape. Lots of recently cut down trees,, piles of debris that have been there for weeks and should have been removed long ago. Greens show many unrepaired divots. Geese population is large. Some greens are covered in geese dung. Fairways are ok. Heavy volume play at Butlers shows. Tee boxes littered with divots and broken tees. Overall conditions could use much maintainence. Average at best in mid August. I would not pay over $30 to play here. This always busy course should spend some profits on generall upkeep and course beautification. Hackers Paradise.
Great views
The course is a mess
The greens are bad; the cart paths are terrible and the tee boxes aren’t very good
The staff are very friendly all the time
Not a bad course.
Cart paths desperately need fixed. A lot of downed trees on course that weren’t really cleaned up. Almost every sand trap had about 1’ of water in them. Groundskeepers need to step it up.
Nice Golf Day
Although the greens were a little slow from heavy rains, the balance of the course was in great shape. Geese dung on some greens was unappealing (17 Lakeside, 18), not something unusual. Rough was fair height so no big penalty for being off fairways. Some traps washed out in need of maintenance (14),
Pace of play
Leagues leagues four groups of ladies is not a league but whatever both carts drive to first ball
then to second ball then to third ball then to fourth ball then repeat this five or six times per hole!!!! Then lets add up our scores on the green while others wait to hit........u tell me if that sounds like fun... I wouldn’t pay full price for this course.. just saying!
Lakeside is a really nice course!
Love the layout of this course. Played from the red tees. Long, challenging, large greens, beautiful views. I forgot how very pleasant this course is, and I understand why so many of my friends suggested I play it.
Pace of play is beyond slow.
They’re overbooking everything here so a normal round of 18 ends up taking in excess of 5.5 hours. Never seen so many groups on a golf course in my life. The course is nice and I would recommend this to a friend but you need to cancel your plans for the rest of the day because you won’t make them in time... also, the above average number of players is taking a toll on the greens since most players aren’t fixing their ball marks.
Needs a ranger
Course conditions were good considering the dry weather we’ve had lately. Staff is pleasant. Pace of play could have been better if there was a ranger to keep the groups in front of us moving better. Our 5 hour round on a Monday should have been 4 hours tops.
