Really nice course, I enjoyed it a lot. We got stuck behind a group of 5 that slowed us down a bit but otherwise it was great
Quality course
This is a good course with challenging holes. Not the toughest but to score you need to hit shots. I'm in Pittsburgh for the quarantine. I play lots of golf all over the east coast. the staff is friendly, the tee boxes and the greens are well kept. I thought they ran a foot or so slow but with the traffic I get it. Bottom line. For 33$ this course is well worth it. I've paid more up here for far less.
Very good course
The course layout is very good. Especially 18th hole is spectacular!
Above Average Course getting Better
Butler's is removing a number of large trees which will make the layout and course play much quicker and we'll make it and overall better course in general.
Woodside
The storm that closed Butlers’s golf course last week left a lot of trees down, the course still was in very great conditions, tee box’s, greens, fairways, and the roughs. They are all well manicure well. The one issue is not with Butler’s staff it is with the inconsiderate golfers that do not replace divots on the fairways and on the greens.
Good price and nice course
Good value always very busy but time of pace is pretty good.
Tees off around 12:45pm....it’s 5:10pm and we are only on 15
No one policing the groups on course making sure they are keeping up with pace of play. Very frustrating. Currently sitting on 15 tee box and had time to write the review. Shouldn’t take 5 plus hours to play 18.
Very accommodating staff. Very friendly to the 1st time user.
Provided user with ‘course book’ that was user friendly to the new attendee.
Recent storms dropped many trees, which were diligently being removed. Chain saws and chippers are not normally heard on a course and somewhat a distraction.
Greens in excellent condition and ran true. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!!
Fairly Impressed
First time on the grounds. Was surprised with all of the amenities. Staff was great and helpful to a first timer. Quite a drive from #9 green to #10 tee. But I'm just nitpicking. It was a great afternoon. Considering the hurdles the staff have had to jump this year. The course was in great shape. It was challenging. But not to the point of having to bring a half dozen balls. Worth more than $30. (But dont tell them I said that! ;)
Which way should I hit.
As this was my first time playing this course I found myself a bit confused. I wa at the 4th or 5th tee box and it appeared to dog leg right. I aimed that direction planning to cut off the fairway and be closer to the hole. After I hit a beautiful drive over the trees and went to see where I landed I noticed I hit into the fairway on the next hole heading towards the small pond. A little course map.on the score cards could help. Other than that it was good day on a somewhat challenging course.
