Fantastic course with friendly people
The course was beautiful all the way from the first hole to the last one. This was the fifth course I have ever been too and it was the most challenging yet. Extremely friendly staff from the moment I walked into the building. Would highly recommend any level of golfer try it out.
They over booked and charged me
Golf now was open booked a tee time I live 40 mins away an hour from my tee time they call me and tell me they have double back d leagues and I can only squeeze in 9. I opted to cancel and they still charged me 20$ was going to be first visit will never think of playing there again. Super lame
Bumby course, needs more signage
Course was extremely bumpy. You'll have to make a decision on many holes to either drive 3 miles per hour, or schedule a chiropractic appointment. Also, the cart path does not take you directly to each tee box. Wouldn't be a problem if there were more signs. Other than that, solid course.
Not bad for the price
My friends and I play 40 to 50 different courses every year. We decided to try out this course because of a special on GolfMoose. One of us had played it once before and said it was worth playing again.
As far as course conditions go, it wasn't bad. Pretty soggy from all of the recent rain, but also a lot of bare ground patches underneath trees. The fairways were a little shaggy but I've seen much worse at more expensive courses. The greens weren't bad.
I was surprised by the diversity of the holes. This was nowhere near your typical back and forth straight fairway courses. The first hole, a par 5, has a very narrow and extremely uneven fairway. Many of the greens are small, elevated, and have a crown. Some holes have extreme elevation changes, The course forces you to think about your next shot rather than just consider the distance.
Playing on a Sunday afternoon at any course, you'll always see crazy stuff. Singles that don't want to join with a twosome or threesome, parents dragging their kids onto the course to hack away at the fairways and bunkers without repairing/raking, drunks walking through bunkers to get back to their carts, and fivesomes. When I checked in, I noticed a fivesome on hole 6 through the window and commented on it. The guy behind the counter said that it's the "owners group" and "they play faster that most foursomes." Our foursome caught up to them on the back after a few groups in front of us dropped out after nine. The guy also said there was a ranger out on the course, which either was a lie or the ranger left before we teed off.
I did like that there was a snack shack at the turn to buy a hot dog or brat so I didn't have to go into the busy clubhouse restaurant to wait at the bar.
The parking lot is far too small for the facility, so some of our group had to park across the street and carry their clubs across.
In the end, if I lived closer to the course I'd consider playing it more often, especially for the price. I don't believe I will suggest playing there on a weekend afternoon due to the clientele. But if I were invited by a friend to play there again, I would.
Fun Friday Afternoon
Fun but we got to the 8th hole and it came to a dead stop. We played our round in 5 hours 45 minutes. When the ranger came by around hole 12 he said there were members playing in a 5 some in front of us. So what I said members don't need to keep pace and he drove off.
Sunny Day
What a great day on the course. I was paired up with a couple that made the day great .I'll be back
Good course for the $$
Although we had to switch carts 2x they were fast and diligent
Loved the challenges that the hilly course brought
And I won lol
Great staff and Cham and challenging Course
Overall great experience small greens and very challenging. I will be going back.
Old course
The course was nice. It had some challenging holes a lot of undulation changes. The fairways in the rough are very bumpy, and they even have bungee cords to bungee your bag to the cart more secure than just the strap. we played here about 10 years ago and it’s a fun course to go with a bunch of guys and have a great time.
