Christmas Mountain Village - Oaks Golf Course

About
The Oaks Golf Course at Christmas Mountain Village was carefully carved from the rolling hills of Wisconsin Dells. The Oaks is the 18-hole course and it is joined by the nine-hole Pines Course. The names of both courses are indicative of the mature woodland landscape you will find on each. The championship Oaks is a challenging but straightforward layout. You can play it well the first time you play it, so long as you are able to keep it in the short grass. Strategically placed sand traps come into play along many of the greens and there are water hazards on four holes. One of the most memorable holes is the 14th, an uphill par 4 that has three towering oak trees on the left side of the fairway that cause a blind shot to the green.

Beautiful greens
This course has beautifully maintained greens. They roll med-fast and are consistent. Yet they are soft enough to hold your approach shot.
I found no negatives at this course other than my poor shots.
Could not play
The temp at our tee time was 98 with a heat index of 110. Who would have thought in Wisconsin?? Too bad that y’all don’t have a refund for weather you can’t play in. Very disappointing.
Well Kept
First time playing the Oaks. Well Kept fairways and greens. Difficult putting due to sloping greens. Both challenging and rewarding. Only complaint is some wet conditions due to watering. Overall I would recommend to a friend and will be visiting again!
Awesome
Christmas Golf NEVER disappoints! We have been playing the course for a couple of years and it is always improving! Greens are some of the best around!!
Not too bad
Some really interesting holes and fall-offs on a few greens. Quite playable.
Family 3-person scramble
Course was perfect for what we were looking for! Speed of play was great and we made sure we played the correct tees. We varied from 5 a handicapper to a 25. Nice views, course was challenging but very fair! We played a in two separate groups and had a fun scramble match. Great scramble course. When you hit it in the woods on the backside you just let it go and hoped one of the other two were in play! :)
Nice course
I enjoy playing the Oaks. I am an older golfer and play the forward tees. Though I don't drive far enough to par most holes, I play it as bogie being par for me.
The course looks good and I like the layout. The only thing I don't like about the course is that in order to buy a drink on the course you must give over your credit card to the cart person and pick it up at the clubhouse at the end of the round. Also you can't use cash. I don't feel comfortable doing this, nor do others in my group. So... no drinks.
Overpriced
I booked thru GolfNow. Booked in a hurry while I was on my way to the course. You guys really need to do a better job of being VERY upfront that the price you show doesn’t include paying more at the club house. My round started at 4:30 and I payed $51 and change thru the app then another $42 when I got to the course. $93 for a twilight rate is insane. I highly doubt I will be booking any more rounds of golf using the GolfNow app.
Nice course
We play from the senior tees. The course was logical in design, well groomed with fast greens that were true. The surrounding area is beautiful and it's fun to play in these surroundings.
A very enjoyable round
A very good course with a somewhat challenging layout. Most of the holes are tree land and a few have water hazards. Greens were an excellent condition, just a little bit slow. Course was well-maintained. Would definitely play again.
