Stonecrest Golf Club

I know the new owners are working hard on the course, the greens are good, but the fairways need work. Two holes are almost unplayable due to the water from the storms.

My biggest issue is the grass being to high. I played with a friend and we lost 8 balls in one day due to the grass. If your ball goes off the fairway just a little bit you can never find it on certain holes.

The course definitely had its challenges. The rough is long and deep. Greens in good shape considering the amount of rain lately. Some fairways have water issues and soft spots. Pace of play was excellent! We enjoyed it and will return soon.

The back 9 was only thing open so played it twice. Some beautiful and challenging holes with nice greens. They were cutting some off the rough back that was well overdue. 2 off the par 3’s on back are elevated the boxes to greens surrounded with potential trouble. Enjoyed the first 9 and played it in about an 1 1/4 hours but 2nd time around ram into a 3some that would not allow me to play through yet were taking mulligans in the fairway and had my daughter not been riding with me would have gotten a few words from me but not a course issue and we all have to learn but need to learn etiquette also.

Everyone here is amazing! I can’t think of another place that has better staff. Love this course! Will be a regular there.

The course was just what I was looking for. There are plenty of challenges for the average golf from both sand and water. The staff were very helpful.

Fantastic time at this course, everything was great from check in to returning the cart. When I arrived for my tee time, I was informed the group ahead of me was playing a game style that would maybe slow my pace, which I was sent to the back 9 to avoid slow pace. I definitely appreciated that as it made the back 9 fly through!

Hole 11 is crazy nice and challenging! As a new golfer (30+ hdcp) the course was still very much enjoyable. Greens were in great condition, although extremely wet which made putting a bit more difficult but I guess something new to learn for my game.

Only thing that was very odd to me was the driving range, they don’t hit from grass but the rubber tee were beat up and could barely hold the ball up in place making it hard to practice before the round.

Course was in pretty good shape although some of the fairways had just been aerated. Greens were in good shape.

The Pro shop staff was amazing. They were helpful and courteous. When the weather got out of hand, they sounded the horn. When we got back to the clubhouse and I mentioned a rain check they encouraged that I call Golf now to get straightened up. The course itself was beautiful. It was very tough but very fair.

The course is parched but the Florida heat has been brutal lately, so I'll cut it some slack. The staff was great, very friendly and accommodating. This course has some really cool holes that require thought outside of just blasting driver everywhere. Can't beat the price, I'll definitely come back.

A good course with a few challenges, in good condition, was hard to see the flag on a few of the longer holes.

Great round even with the heat. I will say it would have been nice to know the greens had been aerated. Overall great round !

Heard they were re-naming the course which will require new scorecards and other branding such as pro-shop clothing…etc.

I’d focus on getting the course conditions to a better level of quality 1st - then rename and get folks to retry the course. It is a great layout and value - but many greens are on the verge of being lost.
