Stonecrest Golf Club

Heard they were re-naming the course which will require new scorecards and other branding such as pro-shop clothing…etc.

I’d focus on getting the course conditions to a better level of quality 1st - then rename and get folks to retry the course. It is a great layout and value - but many greens are on the verge of being lost.

First time playing the ball rolled nicely on the greens. The place was well-maintained for the money I would play it again thank you.

Looking for teatime and found Stonecrest fit the bill. My wife and I arrived early and we were able to get out early. Of course, in very good condition green could not get a handle on them. Challenging layout fairways everything checked all the boxes. It was a very nice round golf..

The greens are slow but not that bad. Nice course to play with challenging holes. Fun course and we enjoy playing it.

Greens and tboxs great.Pace of 3.5 hrs good price.

Everything was in great shape will definitely pay again soon!!

Previous reviewers who described the fairways as "patchy" need to look up the definition of the word. They're gutted, rutted, potholed, and altogether missing grass in too many places. Speaking of grass, there wasn't too much to be seen on the greens either - more a suggestion and not much else. I of course recognize that these poor conditions aren't unusual for this part of Florida right now, but Stonecrest is decidedly below average. It's a shame, as the course layout is good, the staff friendly, etc.

Although I wouldn't like playing a links course regularly, I do enjoy playing one from time to time and Stonecrest fits the bill. The layout of Stonecrest is enjoyable for a links-style course with a few nicely challenging par 3's and a starting hole (par 5), all requiring forced carries over water. The fairways and tee boxes are extremely dry thanks to the current Florida weather conditions, but I'm certain that will improve with our upcoming rainy season just around the corner. The greens are in nice shape and present a challenge in that they're large, indulated, and in most cases elevated. Staff at Stonecrest couldn't be nicer, and range balls were complimentary the day we played. Pace of play was great, and there were plenty of restrooms around the course.

The greens are decent, the fairways need some help. It hasn’t rained in a month so that definitely doesn’t help. The staff is nice and the course is much improved over a couple of years ago. Very good value.
