Enjoyed playing course in really good condition will return with friends

Really fine layout with hills, usually not seen in Florida...greens and fairways were poor...paid $27.50 on Golf now ...wouldn't pay much more...hire Carl Spackler (Bill Murray in Caddyshack) as the greens keeper!

The greens were not very good. A little bumpy and the grass was not completely grown in.

Grass on fairways was sparse. Perhaps because of the time of the year, early March.

Sand and sand traps very good and challenging.

Thought layout was nice and challenging, played from blue white combo tees.

Course was in decent shape for this season. The pro shop staff couldn’t have been nicer. My only issue was that I had to prepay the round for a twosome and my playing partner got sick the morning of our round. So he was out the $42 greens fee. The manager said Golfnow miight be able to help. Any chance I can get a credit?

We were prepared to get a hot dog or burger at the turn and the system is to make everything fresh…wonderful idea but really slows play. Would make sense to have a few hotdogs and burgers ready for a quick warm up.

Most golfers just want to eat and run at the turn.

Also we were told about bees at t #1 bridge. They were still very active. I’m sure they are gone by now

The course was in good condition, firm fairways and greens, the greens were interesting and putted well. We had 4 players and a 10.40 tee time, it only took 3hrs 40 mins for all 18. Plenty of room for tee shots which made it fun. Changes in elevation and some water made it a challenge.

I hadn't played this course in about 9 years and was surprised to see how much the turf conditions have declined. I know that Stonecrest has gone through some financial issues, and the fairways and greens sure have suffered. It's unfortunate because there's nothing wrong with the course layout itself.
