Chesley Oaks Golf Club

Overall a nice course, winter conditions. Most of the holes are pretty straight forward with two hidden water hazards on the back nine, 11 down left side and 16 I think as the fairway runs out before the green. Good course, no bunkers.

I had made reservations thru the golf pass app. And it was Sunday at noon. The guy who work at the shop, said he didn’t see no tee time for that time.. and he said that’s it was pack and just get in line to play.....

They need to find a better way to make it more smoother on the course. And limit the five somes and they also had 6 somes. They need to have starters there at the course.

The course it self is ok. The greens suck.

First off, pace of play was great! I was a single, so expected a 4 hour round. One the first hole a 5some let me through and on the third hole a 3some let me through.

The greens really rolled, making putts from the fringe easy and almost a must.

The course was dry and well drained. I can not think of a single sand trap.

The clubhouse had a good variety of clothes, etc.

The greens have been getting back to normal for the last 2-3 months. The layout is great with some challenging holes. Enjoyed playing there the last 3-4 times.

Should have known by the group of elderly gentlemen taking shots of moonshine in the parking lot before their round, that this was not going to be a decent course.

When I called, the guy at the pro shop really talked the course up... great shape, perfect greens, best around... yeah right!

It's a cow pasture! Tee boxes are terrible, greens are horrible, bare spots, fungus, rogue grass taking over. If that's your game & you're not worried about scoring, go, and have fun! Just wish I would have been told the truth & not driven over an hour to play a bad course!

We play here regularly. Nice layout. Friendly staff. Hot rod carts make for a quick round.

This was my second trip to Chelsey Oaks, the last being about 10 years ago. The course was in good condition considering it is late November. The greens were a bit rugged and could use a little work. For the amount I paid on GolfNow, it was an excellent value.

Even with a bit of rain a day prior, the course drains well and greens run true. Great track in Cullman area and not as busy as Cross Creek in Cullman.

I love playing this course especially this time of year. The fall colors are absolutely beautiful on this beautiful course. There are no sand bunkers but I love the course. The friendly personnel make me want to return again and again.
