Good for a 3rd choice
Traveling as much as I do I like to experience as many courses as possible. This course was average at best . I thought the course had a decent layout with only 1 par three that caught your eye and made you want to take a picture.. They were very busy the day I played so the pace of play was slow also the people they paired me up with were 20 or so handicaps.( very long round 5.5 hrs) the pro shop looked like they might be on their last ditch effort to remain open, no inventory and what they had looked like you might see at a swap meet.. I went in after my round to get a box of balls, to try and support their course but the pro shop staff was outside puffing on a cigarette like a train so I left without the balls..their drinks were way overpriced but I bought some anyway..
In conclusion, if there’s no tee times at the rtj course or another course it would be a good third choice.

Nice course overall but has a few things that need addressed ... simply put the ball washers were out of water or broken ... for a country club that’s unacceptable.. the course was in good shape otherwise
Great local course.
I would recommend anyone looking for a good course and a great price to play Lake Forest. The staff is very friendly. The greens are lightning fast and the courses in good shape

Enjoy this course lots of doglegs both left and right.

Enjoyed playing this course. It’s well maintained and a great value. Players need etiquette training.
Retired
Course was well maintained, greens in great condition. Several areas were extremely wet what appears to be from prolonged watering.
Only complaint is after 9 you don’t pass the clubhouse or a halfway house. No way to get food or drinks.
A good day
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful course had some water damage and the greens left something to be desired but overall a good day.
Challenging Course
Great value for $$. Good layout, some blind shots. Knowing course is a positive for certain. Greens good shape, 4 tee positions, as challenging as you want. Out on 1, In on 18, may need to bring your energy bar! Ride don't walk, kinda hilly.

Nice starter and fast carts. Course was a nice challenge and in decent shape

Course brings good value for your dolllar. A few greens were in rough shape with what appears to be mold. Over all a good afternoon with my son!
Enjoyed the round very much. It would have been excellent except that the greens could use some TLC.
Great,course
Lake Forest is a challenging layout that winds through a large neighborhood. Even the neighbors are friendly here.
