A little piece of heaven
I have been bringing a group here for 5 years and have always had a wonderful time. The course is unique in design since Bryce built it himself. The staff is wonderful and Doris makes sure that we have what we need. We always stay in the cabins on the course. You can't beat the peace and quiet. The kind of place where you don't have to look your doors. Inexpensive to play but it is a definite challenge. A unique place and as long as Doris is there, we will keep coming back. We have never been disappointed with the course or the accommodations.
What's more important
The course was nice and not busy at all. They had no range balls because i was told their range cart was broke. The greens were in good shape and rolling fast. The only problem was that over half of the greens were covered in leaves. Not few leaves but a lot of leaves. Had spend time clearing a path out every time we got ready to putt. I understand that the grounds crew can not keep this from happening every time, however; when they are too busy installing Christmas lights all over the grounds instead of taking care of the course it is a problem.
This course is layed out beautifully.
We started off pretty well.just us two. Then we caught up to a group of four who held us up and wouldn't let anyone around them.no one ahead of them, and several groups behind. That's where you need someone to tell them to play a little faster. It took us over 5 hours to get through the 18 holes. We thought about skipping a hole and going around, but I really don't like to do that. But next time we will.
Great Course!
This course has scenic views of the mountains surrounding Sand Mountain, it is peaceful, and quiet as you do not hear much traffic, or other noises besides birds, and such. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone within their driving distance. The bent grass greens are in good shape, especially since we have had such a hot, and dry year, being that bent grass does not like neither! Extremely nice staff will make you feel at home, make the trip out, you should not regret it!
A Nice Place To Go Play
I can't think of better place to go play for the Money, The Greens were excellent. I shot a lot lower round than I expected. I wish that I was there again today.
Good course
The course has quite a few challenges especially when you add in the top of the mountain wind.
The course is always in great shape!
The best deal for this place close to Chattanooga
Dogwood Hill's Golf Course
I always enjoy playing this course. Highly recommend to anyone.
Fun
Front and back are completely different. Lots of fun to play and course in fantastic shape. Will be back soon.
Excellent Course
This course gets better and more beautiful every time I play there.
If from out of town check into the rental cottages.
Outstanding Local Course
This beautiful golf course in the mountains of north Alabama is well laid out, manicured, and the attention to fairways and greens is exceptional. A fun day even a temperatures above 90.
Outstanding course
I have nothing but positive opinions regarding this course. Extremely friendly staff, new carts, immaculate fairways and greens, wonderful views. A must play in northeast Alabama.
Ggggrrrrrreeeeeeaaaaattttttt
Great course, close to home, I will return
Good Course For money
Paid $35 to play on a Tuesday at 1:00. Front nine is kind of ho hum, nothing special, but a few fun holes. The back nine is where this course starts. Fun holes, changing elevation. Course is not hard, wide fairways and not much OB. Greens are a little undulating. Not many bunkers, the ones they have are shallow.
Course was in decent condition, nothing to rave about but for the money it looked good.
Overall, fun track for less than $50. Not a pristine manicured jewel, but not a goat ranch, somewhere in the middle is this course. Enjoyable, not crowded, nice people.
Hidden Gem !!
This course may be off the beaten path but it's worth the trip out there. Very nice fairways, excellent greens. Very fun layout, and some beautiful scenery. All in all a great play for less than $50
Great!
Best course in DeKalb county and jackson county. Great fun! I have played all over the south this is one of my favorites.
A very fair course
Course was in great shape, lots of fun. Will return in the future.
Great course
This is a great course and a challenging one at that. I will definitely be back
A hidden jewel
Small courses can compete with the big boys. Front 9 feels a little cramped but back 9 is beautiful. Well-maintained and the flower gardens were icing on the cake. Greens were undulating and quick. Some narrow fairways and approaches add to the challenges. Lots of fun if you choose the right tees for your distance and game.
