Course is ok
The greens are in bad shape. That’s nothing new here and the pace of play is horrible. Usually by the 4th tee you just play the waiting game.
Best shape I’ve played this course in
Played here a few times now, saw a hot deal and booked a tee time for under 20 bucks. For the money, it’s a great course. Greens a bit slow but again for the price point on a deal, it’s hard to beat.
First Timer
The course was a great value and in responsibly good condition. While the tees, fairway, and greens were in fact green (due to recent and much needed rain) the tee boxes were sometimes uneven, the fairways were quite hard, however the greens were in good shape. If it is your first time going, head across the street to the driving range before you check in, as you are not allowed to drive the cart across the highway. Pace of play was a bit slow, but likely due to the mix of two and foursomes on at the time. An easy 45-60 minute drive from Birmingham or Huntsville and fun to play. I will go back.
Really nice public course
Played this course for the first time 2 days ago. I live out of state and happened to be in the area. Really nice public course with an interesting layout. I thought the course conditions were in line with the green fees which isn't always the case. i would play here again when visiting. For those who prefer to walk, it's a bit hilly but I noticed several people carrying their bags.
Pace of play
The three some that played in front of us does not no golf etiquette or couldn’t care less about the players behind. They had the course backed up. My only regret was that I didn’t do like others and just go ahead of them and come back to the hole I missed.
This course is EXCEPTIONAL
This was the first time playing at Cross Creek. I told the Pro that I would be back, and a week later I secured another tee time this morning for 8-24-24. I am bringing a Vendor this time because he’s heard me praise the staff, course, amenities, and just the overall atmosphere. Looking forward to tomorrow, and future plans to Cross Creek!
I would say if you’re a beginner, amateur, or pro this is a course for all. -Andrew Emerson
Disappointed
Greens are terrible. The rest of the course is in good shape. Number 18 was closed but course continued to charge full price and there was no mention to me at the clubhouse.
Bad pace of place
This course could be so much better if they had Marshall’s to enforce pace of play. When it take 5 hrs to play it gets frustrating and you can’t find a rhythm.
Great course for price
The course was in excellent condition. Fairways/fringes were like carpet, the greens were not in excellent condition, but were very nice and played challenging. The greens for the most part are perfect, but there are some holes with rough patches. The layout of the course is challenging, but also great for the average golfer. There is a nice mix of par 3s, 4s, and 5s with water hazards on several holes. This course is shaded In many places and allows you to escape the scorching sun, and there are various water coolers throughout the course. Overall, this course is definitely worth the money for the average golfer not looking to drop $100+ on a round of golf, but still get a great course experience!
Course Marshall/ pair up
Need a course Marshall to push pace of play. Too many twosomes playing together. They need to make groups pair up and play in 4s.
Great little course
Cross Creek is a fun little course. If you want a chance to throw a low score as a average golfer playing from the whites gives you the chance to throw a score up there like you see on tv. For the more avid golfer the blues are a fun challenge. Its a great course I would recommend to anybody to give it a go. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Cross Creek.
Great condition for price
Great condition! Staff very friendly and helpful!
