Cherokee Ridge Country Club

Greens have not been in very good condition the times I have played there this summer. Weeds and very thin grass on green, a lot of sand on the greens. When I played on 9/9/17 the greens had been aerated and sanded recently. Overall nice course.

This is my second visit and I must admit I left feeling much like I did after my initial round.

This Sammy Dean layout is really good - fun holes that are unique and quirky. But the experience is diminished by lackluster greens. I am a bit confused with what the club is trying to do. The greens are bentgrass, which struggle in the Deep South heat even with the best care. However, only half the holes have greenside fans and several of those weren't running. The greens were stressed. Bare patches were present and a general thinness was pervasive. The back nine was better than front.

The bones of this course are so good. I wish the club would change the greens to Tift so that it could fulfill its potential. The par threes are awesome. The par-5 10th hole is one of the best I've ever played. This course could be one of the best public tracks in North Alabama, but the greens need to improve first.

It's a good play for a GolfNow hot deal. Not sure if it's worth rack rate.

Awesome golf course. Course lay out is excellent. Beautiful trees and a breath taking Lake enhance the playing experience. One of the best golf courses in North Alabama by far.

Challenging course but great greens, fairway, and rough! Beautiful views on multiple holes! Large waterfall on the back 9!

This course is in immaculate condition. For an average golfer it is just challenging enough to be fun and not frustrating. I recommend any avid golfer in North Alabama to play this course at least once. As a side note, back when there was a Nike tour, this was one of their venues.

Course is in really good condition from tee to green. A couple of bunkers could use some work but overall no complaints. They are stingy on the range balls-the bag had about 20 balls.

Greens are in great condition. Fairways need another month or so to fill out- they are a bit thin this time of year. Rough is short enough to find and hit errant shots. The traps need some attention because the sand is real thin in some areas and some traps don't drain real well- but they have improved significantly from the winter months.

The staff is perfect! They are the most friendly staff in North Alabama and treat the public as well as their members.

First time this year and the course was spectacular. Very characteristic, lots of different settings on different holes. Friendly staff. Will play again.

Great day all around. Winter conditions but still a very nice club.

The course is beautiful and fun to play. Love the layout. None of the fairways are side by side, meaning you won't accidentally hit your ball on another fairway.

The course was not in the best condition when I played compared to previous experiences.

Greens were suboptimal and fairways were water logged. Huge tire marks were everywhere from commercial seeding and fertilization! Not good, because they prevented balls from advancing. Bunkers were filled with water. The course should be in better shape by mid to the end of April!

Got a good deal on Golf Now so tried this course for the first time. First the good:

- Challenging Course. Tight for most of the course. Penalizes you for missing fairways. Enough bunkers and corners to make you think about your shots.

Now for the not so good:

- Most bunkers are in horrible shape. Not really possible to hit out of them. (Only 1/2 sand at most)

- Water soaked course and bunkers. Not the courses fault, just mentioning it.
