Cherokee Ridge
For a February day the course (cart path only) that day day was in excellent condition. The greens were awesome. Also the course waterfall was running beautifully.
Back open after cold stretch
Amazing how well the course held up after the tough cold weather stretch. Greens rolled great
Beautiful Tract
This is a beautiful presentation of top caliber golf. Noticeable improvements going on daily. Even the young men and ladies handling the carts are friendly.
Great course
The golf course was in great condition. The grains are super fast but manageable. The only issue is we have to use cartpath only and we’re old guys so it makes it hard.
Everyone was super nice on the course and the staff that checked us in was great. I would recommend this course to anyone any time of year.
No Tee Signs. No Marshall. No Refreshment Cart.
Caveat: It was 35-44 degrees for the entire round.
Pet peeve vs the course is that there are no signs for the holes. The tee markers are there for each of the tee locations. However, the normal tee signs that exist on most courses (that show the distance from each of the tee boxes and a rough diagram of what the hole layout is) are non-existent. The hole layouts are also non-existent on the score cards. So, the only way you know how the holes play is to have an App on your phone that shows the course layout.
We played early and it was cold. The instructions CLEARLY posted at the clubhouse, and emphasized to us when signing in was "STAY ON CART PATH AT ALL TIMES". No worries. It was cold and we were happy to comply and not tear up the course. As we teed off on the 8th hole, a 5-some caught up with us. As we were a 3-some, it was a bit embarrassing. We stopped for a bite at the turn and waited for the 5-some to pass us. They didn't, stoppeingat the turn, also. We hit the back 9. At about the 13th tee, the 5-some caught up with us again. We we saw why. Though we were being good stewards of the course and playing "cartpath only", these bozos each had their own carts and they were driving all over the course and down the middle of the fairways to hit their shots. They were obviously members (as they each had their own carts) and that actually made it worse. There was no Marshall on the course, so there was no one to tell until we finished the round. Though they never tried to push their way through, having a 5-some on your heels for the last 4 or 5 holes of a round is a little bit infuriating; based on the fact they weren't following course rules and their was no one around to enforce the rules.
There was no refreshment cart.
There were several holes that had portions of the fairway in bad shape and some of those areas were even roped off as "off limits" / "free drop" areas.
Really like this course. But, it is a shame a semi-private course such as this can't afford tee box signs and doesn't have a Marshall on the course to enforce basis course rules.
