About
One of Jim Fazio’s first solo projects, Riverchase is a surprisingly tough challenge given its lack of trees and relatively short length. The course runs through the bottomlands of the Elm Fork Trinity River and is loaded with water due to a chain of interconnecting lakes created to collect heavy rains and irrigate the course. While there are no forced carries, water comes into play at least 12 holes, and out-of-bounds is a frequent concern because of the housing community that surrounds the course.
No. 5 is the most difficult rated hole–a long dogleg right par 4 that requires a solid tee shot to be in position to reach the green in two. The approach is long and uphill into a severely back-to-front sloping green with a lake on the right and out-of-bounds and bunkers on the left.
Two holes later, No. 7 is one of the toughest approaches in all of DFW. This hole plays due south into the prevailing wind, and the elevated green has a depth of only about 25 feet. Bunkers line the back, and the slope in front is significant. Ups and downs are difficult because of the slopes in the green. Take a look at the pin placement when you’re teeing off on No. 4.
The good news is that other than out-of-bounds, the course is mostly wide open, so you’ll generally have a shot if you just miss the fairway. The only thick spot for trees is along the creek on holes 14-16.
Getting there : Take the Belt Line exit off of 635 and drive north to MacArthur. Turn right (east) and drive to Riverchase Dr., where you’ll turn left. Look for the course on the right side of the road.

I use to play this course a bunch when I lived in the area, it just seems that the fairways have become unkept.

OVERALL COURSE is in bad condition
Green speed is not consistent. Fairway condition is too bad to play.

Sell This Golf Course
We conducted our annual golf tournament and had a terrible experience. Apparently you have discontinued any maintenance and repairs because the course is in dismal and unacceptable shape. Fairways torn up and cart paths look like an earthquake hit it. Tee boxes full of broken tees and were totally unlevel. How can you justify charging top dollar for low quality? There are great golf companies out there that take pride in their courses, so I suggest you sell to one of them so they can restore what was once a great course. Until you sell, we're not coming back.
GOAT fARM
Course is in terrible shape. Huge ruts in fairways, Large areas with no grass. Water leaks causing unnecessary muddy areas. Cart paths are cracked, uneven and bumpy. Tee boxes are uneven. Lost balls due to high weeds, even in the fairway. No ball washers. Looks like there has been no maintenance for a while. Sand traps were full of water or no sand at all. Maybe they are going to shut it down and build houses.

Course conditions not good
Don’t play here! This has turned into a “goat track”. Greens were fine but everything is is 1 out of 10. This used to be one of the nicest courses around and it’s turned into a waste of space. It’s time to find another good course in the Irving / Coppell to play. Very sad!

Not Worth It
The cart paths are the worst I've ever seen. That cart paths are what I'm writing about first tells you how bad they are. Driving on the fairways isn't any better as some holes look like they've been carpet bombed. The bunkers have no sand and the starter said most people play them as ground under repair. Only about 1/3 of the tee boxes were level. But the greens are good. But getting to them is an exercise in frustration.

Not sure if they are selling the course, but there is no other reason for it to have been in the condition I saw it in. Absolutely theft for them to charge any amount of money to play.

Should be closed
Course is beyond repair. What a mess. Comical how bad the facility is. Just a full on eyesore and whoever owns this dump just robbed me and who never else pays money. I feel taken advantage of.

Course was in shambles. Poor pace of play. Golf carts were on last leg (although they said they were getting new ones next week).

The course is in rough condition but it looks like it could be really nice if the fairways were cared for.
