About
One of Jim Fazio’s first solo projects, Riverchase is a surprisingly tough challenge given its lack of trees and relatively short length. The course runs through the bottomlands of the Elm Fork Trinity River and is loaded with water due to a chain of interconnecting lakes created to collect heavy rains and irrigate the course. While there are no forced carries, water comes into play at least 12 holes, and out-of-bounds is a frequent concern because of the housing community that surrounds the course.
No. 5 is the most difficult rated hole–a long dogleg right par 4 that requires a solid tee shot to be in position to reach the green in two. The approach is long and uphill into a severely back-to-front sloping green with a lake on the right and out-of-bounds and bunkers on the left.
Two holes later, No. 7 is one of the toughest approaches in all of DFW. This hole plays due south into the prevailing wind, and the elevated green has a depth of only about 25 feet. Bunkers line the back, and the slope in front is significant. Ups and downs are difficult because of the slopes in the green. Take a look at the pin placement when you’re teeing off on No. 4.
The good news is that other than out-of-bounds, the course is mostly wide open, so you’ll generally have a shot if you just miss the fairway. The only thick spot for trees is along the creek on holes 14-16.
Getting there : Take the Belt Line exit off of 635 and drive north to MacArthur. Turn right (east) and drive to Riverchase Dr., where you’ll turn left. Look for the course on the right side of the road.

One of the worst I've played
Havent played at this course in awhile. It used to be way better. The greens haven't been kept up and the course is way too rough. Sections of cracked mud and dirt throughout. Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

Worst Course In DFW
Well, where do I start. Ive grown up with golf and Ive been on many courses. I understand that this time of year and what kind of Summer we had, it can cause challenges.
To start with, the golf cart was very dirty, couldnt see well out of the windshield. No matter how softly my friend tried to accelerate, it gave you whiplash.
There wasnt a golf ball washer to be found, also no maps printed on the back of the score card.
The course condition was just terrible, huge cracks in the fairways and it just got worse on the back nine. Tee boxes and greens were pretty sad, too.Yardage markers were scarce and the cement cart paths looked and felt like an air raid had happened.
I dont enjoy giving this kind of review, but it needs to be said. This course is in a great part of the metroplex, so its just a shame. Will not be back.

I was a loyal member for a long time but did NOT renew my membership because of the lack of respect these people have for the great game of golf!! Course has deteriorated so much in the last year!!! Tee boxes suck, no grass some are even put on slopes!! The cart paths are like a mine field! Constantly dogging jagged cement slabs. Like you are in a combat zone! Fairways are full of moguls you have to avoid. Usually the greens are the only thing they have going for them unless the green keeper messes with them! For the price to play this course $$$$$ it should be at least 50% less than what they charge! The City of Coppell needs to purchase this course then close it for renovations and give the great city of Coppell what they deserve!! A great place to play the great game of GOLF!!!!!

Green condition are deteriorating like the fairways and tee boxs
The course general poor condition and maintenance is now an issue on the greens, very difficult to putt. The one thing positive about Riverchase was nice greens, no longer the case. Mower damage, weeds, and dead spots. Suspect they no longer aerate. Not sure. Very disappointing.

THE WORST
The conditions here were the worst I have ever had the privilege to pay for. They blame it on the drought, but I have played on many muni's in the area and they were just fine. Cracks in the fairways big enough to swallow your ball to never be found again. If course conditions are this bad, then close the course or charge a reduced green fee. I shutter just calling a green fee.

Bad fairways
Fairway weee cracked with big cracks, hard ground. It could be great course if the fairways were maintained. Greens were good.

Ok for the price
Fairways are in worst condition possible, I never seen a course this bad, I was not able to find ball in the middle of fairways as the soil cracks were so big ball was inside, I have take out hit my next shot

The good, the bad and the ugly
First of all the course layout is VERY cool. Lots of hills and elevation changes, blind shots, etc. That is the good.
The bad was that I paid $45 and I probably wouldn't pay more than $30 for this course.....and here is why:
The ugly: the fairways looked like the Grand Canyon. There were creavases 6-8" deep in the middle of the fairways. Not sure why they don't use all of the local lakes/ponds for irrigation. The greens were pretty decent, once you got there and after your ball bounces 7 different ways off the drive.

Worst golf course in Dallas area
The fairway had cracked grass and the bunker had no sand. I didn't know it was like this. It was so badly damaged that it was not maintained and was a complete mess.

Needs to be closed
This management team has completely given up. All cart paths are broken, fairways in terrible condition. Bunkers have no sand. Broken sprinkler heads everywhere (even in the 17th bunker). Ponds are completely overgrown with moss and filled with floating trash. Course is completely abandoned and the wait staff was just as bad. Coppell should be embarrassed

Worst golf course in Dallas
The fairway is cracked, there is no grass, you can't tell if it's grass or a bunker, the tee box is uneven, the bunker has no sand, and is there any other golf course in the Dallas area that is this bad?

The Worst
I have never played a course in this bad of condition( the course should be closed) .The cart paths were cracked and really bumpy but what was more unbelievable was even the fairways ( I'm guessing that they didn't do any watering ) so they also were full of cracks and holes all over .
