Never Again
Course conditions were pretty bad. To be fair, it was after the freeze, but considering how bad the greens and course were, $80 seems unreasonable for greens fees. Doubtful I’ll ever play here again.
Seed and water
Greens are in horrible shape. To be expected after the winter freeze I suppose. Just need spring to kick in.
Greens need help
Great course layout but greens were not in good condition. I didn’t help that a week before they were frozen. I’ll play this course again, just will wait till greens are better.
Decent course
Good beginners course. Most holes are very straight, few curves/water. The layout was very confusing when going from 1 hole to the next, got turned around 2 or 3 times trying to figure out which way to go next. Bedsides that, decent course.
Winter golf
T box, fairway and greens all are in rough shape. Can’t wait till spring. Hopefully they seed the heck out of all 3.
Great Course for Average Playing
Longwood has a lot to offer from chipping range, putting range and driving range prior to kicking your day off. Cart girl doesn’t make rounds as much as I’d like but probably better for my skill improvement every time I go ha! I will say this is a good course if you aren’t bad but not super good either. Greens are slightly rough but Longwood definitely gives you a feel of a professional course without feeling the burn of someone professional pressuring as pace of play is pretty fair out here. Overall 4 out of 5 stars for me and would recommend!
Was cold and wet
I only played 9 holes it was cold it was wet And it was not a day to play golf. But everybody was very nice at Longwood on a cold wet day. I kept topping the ball and it was cold and wet but there was one 7-iron that was pure as gold with a slight draw that landed on a small green with the purest of ball strikes. I cut my losses and didn't play another nine holes but it was a good experience on a miserable day.
Would like to play in season
The club and staff are friendly enough, I am not from the area and I guess it’s the off season, but the conditions are not good, the greens were a 2 on a 10 scale, they want you to play fast, but the signage is awful, you have to search for holes that are in out of the way places with no direction. Played with my kids, so I would absolutely do it again, but the price is very high for the condition at this time of year.
Seed seed seed
Still enjoy but.....Hopefully they seed the entire course and it will be better come spring. So many bare spots.
Don't waste your money or time..
Post to Palm--Absolutely the worst greens anywhere..terrible. Fairways fair. ..the best conditions were on the Tee boxes...yep, that's right
The staff is very friendly
The course layout I’m is awesome and beautiful. Greens need work lots of bare spots and different types of grass.
Fun Round
Overall, it was a great day of golf... even got to see some deer on the edge of the course! The greens were sandy in some spots and slow, but the rest of the course was well maintained. I’d recommend a round here. I came as a single and ended up playing in a 4some with some really nice guys at different skill levels. Just like the rest of Cypress, this course was fun of some really good people.
Don't play
For 67.00 a Sunday morning round of golf should not take 5 1/2 hours. Tee boxes and greens are mostly dirt, plenty of play money should be used to fix up course. You have 3 nines close one every now and then and grow grass. On greens and tee boxes
Greens in bad shape
Overall not too bad. Greens must have recently been sanded as they were in bad shape and didn't roll true. Sand pile in middle of fairway on one hole for some reason. My ball landed right in the middle of it and stopped my drive. cost me a good 40 yards of roll.
