Was a bit of a challenge to get to some holes.
Due to the past flooding and making a 3 course 9 holer into an 18 hole course.
Overall NOT bad.
Fair price.
The course is very confusing because it doesn't have enough signs to get from one hole to the next, and you waste time looking for the right path. It also doesn't have distance markings. My GPS couldn't locate the correct hole because they combined the three courses, and I had to keep changing the course on my GPS. It was frustrating to play. I wouldn't go back, and the price is very expensive for what it is. For that price, there are much better courses like Tour 18, Black Horse, etc. And is missing restrooms during the course.
Not enough bang for the buck.
I understand you have to make up for the investment, but unfortunately this course is not on the level of the premium they are trying to charge.
Good course with pretty quick greens
The course is in pretty good condition with above average greens. I would definitely recommend the course to my friends.
The staff was --- well there wasn't much of one on that particularday. The only 2 people I saw were the gentleman in the pro shop when I checked in and the gal inside the grill when we made the turn on to the back 9. There were no cart staff at all.
Overall golf experience I would say was very good, however, the limited golf club staff and amenities can definitely be beefed-up!
Mr Tony and Peyton were very accommodating
Ms Adriana was excellent
First time since coursevrevixion
Course layout simpler since the revision. Food area nicely improved. Practice area now very good. Investment monies are being focused on course condition and natural grass area hazards. Course signage could be improved. Tee boxes in poor condition. Cart paths are in atrocious condition. I would happily pay the $80 fee if these drawbacks were all addressed. It it’s present state it should be no more than a 65$ course.
Much improved
After the reconfigure of the course, it has improved alot, by far one of my favorite courses to play right now. Tee boxes are in great shape, fairways and greens are perfect, can't ask for much more. Love the course.

First time playing after changing the cores. Only issue if you walk there will be an extremely long walk to hole 2. Nice place and will go back.
Dissatisfied
Was truly disappointed with the course. Played there many times before it was made semi private. Price is not worth it for only four holes changed and no upgrades to clubhouse except for new patio. This place used to be packed when 27 hole track. Showed up to play and only a scattered amount of vehicles and people there. With all the money they made by selling off property you’d think they put more into really substantial upgrades. Hope the members got their moneys worth because I didn’t.
Honest Review of Golf Club of Longwood-March 2025
It's hard to believe this club used to host Nike and Texas PGA Tour events in the 90's.
I feel like the flooding from 2015, 2016, and 2017-Harvey have truly hurt this property forever...
To make this property great again, it would need $10 million of new investment IMHO!
Positives:
Greens and fringes/surrounds were OUTSTANDING!
Greens were running 11-13 on stemp meter easily during our round
Appears that Longwood has hired new agronomy team members! Kudos!
Back 1/2 layout (holes 12-18 specifically) are a lot of fun IMHO!
Practice Tees / Chipping / Bump n Run / Practice Bunker and Putting areas were in solid shape!
Tate and service crew were great and speedy!
Food is Excellent!
Pace of Play: 3.5 hours for a 4 some! Excellent!
The optional "B" green placement on 18th Green is a monster from Back Tees
Challenges:
Front 9 needs a lot of help! For whatever reason its still a WIP...
The fairways have been beat to "poop" IMHO! They had punched and fertilized fairways but they look like crap TBH! Really poor
Holes 4-9 actually have a lot of potential but the grass is so poor that it might be another year before they get it right!
Bunkers seem to be in better shape since reopening in 2023
CARTS ARE A JOKE! Better to walk- It's a fantastic cardio as the property is about 6.5 miles to walk all 18
Overall, I think Golf Club at Longwood can make a real comeback but its not ready for "Primetime" when compared to clubs even as old as Black horse, High Meadow, Hearthstone, Sterling, Jersey Meadow, Augusta Pines... Forget even competing against HP and the private clubs in North Houston.
I would recommend it to anyone and will play it again. I hope they continue to invest in the club and the golf course directly!
For the price the course is no where near worth it. I will give it the greens were in great condition outside of that it was okay. Needs to be a 65 dollar course.
WORTH PLAYING
This is the 1st time playing since the renovation and it won't be my last. I enjoyed everything about the course. Friendly staff, nice fairways and fast smooth greens. Food was good too. If you can play for under $100 on the weekends it's definitely worth it.
