Martin M
Great golf course. Friendly staff.
Awesome 19th hole.
The fairways, rough and sand traps are in great shape. The greens need some work.
Overall, not a bad couse. If the greens were a little better kept this would be a fantastic loop.
Much Improved
I have been playing Longwood for many years. In fact, I once had a membership there. I discontinued my membership several years back for a couple of reasons. The pace of play was extremely slow for a facility with twenty-seven holes, and the greens were in terrible condition. I must say that the greens were in much better shape. A couple of greens on the Pine 9 had some issues, but it didn’t impact play at all. The Palmetto 9 was great. I am definitely going to put Longwood back in rotation.
Solid course and great staff. All of the courses in the area have been taking a beating due to the weather but Longwood has really worked to maintain the course and the course was in great condition. Like other reviews better signage would be great but did not hamper the functionality of the course. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and really press to make all guests feel welcomed. Second time playing the course and exploring options for a membership.
Great play
Awesome course, super clean and well maintained. it was challenging to find the route as it is extremely big (27 courses)
It's ok
Signs could be better brown spots in fairways but can't be helped due to weather. Soft tee boxes. A good place to practice or play friends, not a course to make an impression on the boss.
Drop the rates
Course has been hammered by the drought. Looks like the only thing that's been watered are the Greens. Everything else is yellow pretty much but the rates are no less. Tried to get the hot Deal past 2 days but everytime you choose it a pop up says no longer available. Get to the course and noone is there. Ask the pro shop if there are any specials and was quickly told NOPE. I Paid the normal rate and was very disappointed at the course conditions. You Need a hammer to place your tee on tee boxes. Fairways are just as hard. The Greens are the only thing that has seen water in a long while. Look I know it's been Hot but drop your rates if you cant afford to maintain tees and fairways.
Nice round on July 4th
Course conditions were not bad, but wish there was better signage throughout the course, especially when transitioning from one nine to the next.
Needs more and better signage
Like many other courses in Houston right now, it is looking a bit bare and scorched in places but it was in pretty decent condition considering. We were behind a 3 who took forever and we were a 4. The most frustrating thing was the lack of signs in a couple of places that caused us tongues where to go.
