Wow. Awful.

I generally play around 5 times a year at the Ridge. Always pristine, but not this year Burnt fairways, traps haven’t been raked in a month, and the greens were worse. I thought this was a Troon property. So disappointed, I brought people in from out of town and I was apologizing the whole time.

Charged full price for an average Muni.

Wait til next year.

Very disappointed

I have played this course numerous times in the past and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the course was in very bad shape. I have never seen it like that. To make matters worse, the pace of play was very slow. We had to wait about 30 minutes on the 10th tee. The thing that didn’t change is the cost. Still one of the more expensive courses. It used to be worth it. It is not worth it now

Birthday Blues

Although the staff's friendliness and courtesy was top-notch when we first arrived at the course, and the Bloody Mary was terrific, we soon found that the course was not in great shape. The fairway of the first hole was missing half of the grass right down the middle. Views were majestic, with the course winding through a series of upper class neighborhoods. However, the weather turned to a thick, wet, cold fog after the first three holes; we could only see about 50 yards. Blind golf! The back nine was in even worse condition, with two fairways completely devoid of grass. Could be a stunner if the greenskeeper wasn't Bill Murray's cousin. Might try again in August, when weather is sure to be sunny and hot; but not for $100 a round.

Shocked at conditions

This is a premier Troon course and facilty. The facility and staff are excellent, the course condition, not so much. It is June 1st and a lot of damaged fairways and greens...looks like a fungus

For a Troon course you expect much better condition of the course, especially for a $100+ round. Greey views still, but fix the course or offer discount until in better shape

Avoid this course for a while

This used to be my favorite course in the Denver area. But this round has completely changed my mind. The pace of play was terrible. The group in front of us was a full two holes behind the group in front of them but due to no marshals on the course they could play as slow as they wanted. When this was addressed at the turn with the staff not only was the guy on charge rude and unapologetic about it, he sent a kid to go to address and sent him down 18 to go talk to the group on 10. After two holes the kid finally showed up and drove by the group in front of us with a quick pause when passing them. He told us not only was the group in front of use behind but the group in front of them was holding everyone up too. Obviously nothing was said to them and our round lasted over 5.15 hrs, which is absurd.

The course conditions were the next problem. They have a third of their greens in really bad shape and all greens are heavily sanded. They did a good job of keeping the pins away from the really bad diseased spots but they’re still brutal. This goes the same for some terrible spots in their fairways. The course doesn’t even bother to mark these areas as ground under repair, which they should be without a doubt. I’m of the opinion that a course in bad condition should not be charging top notch pricing as they were until it is back to the previous conditions it was in.

Lastly, the food is a joke. I paid almost $20 for a burger and fries which I ordered from the cart on home #8. Omg it was the post disgusting thing I’ve ever had. The fries were cold and hard and the burger was a joke. The chef,

If he calls himself that should be fired immediately and ashamed of what he served.

Like I said this is usually my favorites course in Denver but I strongly urge you to stay away until they get it back to together and in good shape. Hopefully, they address their staff and service while getting their course back together. AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE UNTIL THIS HAPPENS. There are too many nice courses around Denver and castle rock to waste $100 per round in this place currently.

Nice Course, But Bad Greens

The course is very nice, but pretty hard. The greens were generally in bad shape however. Hope they are better before they start charging $100 or more for this place.

Worst shape I’ve seen it here

Pretty disappointed in the condition of the course. Usually one of my favourite places to go but not this time. There’s dead grass in a lot of the fairways and pretty much on every green. The bunkers are even worse, practice bunkers were great but the course bunkers look like they haven’t been raked by the management in a while. Pace of play was a bit brutal as well. Not sure if I’d come back with how much it costs and the availability of other better maintained courses in the Denver area.
