Great course, could be world class
Played on a cool VERY windy day which made this course much more challenging. The layout is flat out awesome. The front 9 winds through homes (bleh), but the back puts you in the middle of nature, with great views, and beautiful scenery.
It seems every hole has an elevation change, with a few tee shots where you are hitting well above the fairways. The holes are all different and rarely do they run parallel. I love the fact the Par 3,4, and 5's are all of varying length. The is also quite a bit of OB, so beware!
The staff might be some of the nicest you will every meet.
My only 'complaint' - Playing the course in February means the Bermuda grass is all dormant, which is expected. The rough however is pretty beat up so your how your ball comes lie is a total crap shoot (There's a casino across the street, see what I did there!). I would love to play again in May/June when the course is grown out. When I do I will report back.
PLAY THIS COURSE!!!!
Thumbs up Thumbs down
Overall- One of the top three courses in the area with public access.
Pace- After a tournament teed off at 230 carts were shut off at 6 with two holes to play.
Conditions- Greens were in average shape at best. 1st green was very poor and the rest showed signs of the tournament, certainly not the pristine condition normal for the course. The rest of the course was in very good shape.
Staff- Shut the carts off and politely turned them back on so we could drive in, we had two 20+ handicaps playing a difficult course and it was one guy's birthday round another 15-20 mins wouldn't have been the end of times.
Value- $50 for twilight is on the high side for the area, $50 for 16 holes is straight up gangster.
Layout- The front nine has two holes that feel forced, 3 seems built around the homesites and 9 is wedged between a road and the cart barn and a creek. The back nine is the best nine holes in the valley design wise. Hands down. Simply magnificent!
Amenities- Everything you need.

Played here while vacationing in the area. Johnny (Miller), we loved your track! The layout was interesting. Challenging, but fair. The front nine plays among large homes, but with plenty of room. The back nine is over a ridge and is, literally, in the middle of nothing but rolling hills, trees, and not a house in sight. They have a senior rate (we paid $40+$15 each for golf and cart). The course was in great condition (tees, fairways, bunkers, and greens). We were a 2 and were hooked up with a single to make 3. We played in 4 hours on a Monday morning at 10AM. The course is within site of the Table Mountain Casino in an upscale housing area. We highly recommend the course and will return when we're back in the area.
To me this is the best course around. My golf buddies would disagee with me but I like it the best. Mosty because you feel like you're somewhere else besides the flat courses in the valley. Great conditions, pleasant staff, decent pace of play.
Best course in the Valley!
Eagle Springs is my favorite public/semi-private course in the Fresno area. They recently received a new fleet of golf carts, and they have the auto-brakes on them (you don't have to pump the brakes to get the cart to stay on a hill). You must use carts on this course, as some of the tee boxes are spread out, and the course is very hilly. If you take your cart where it should not be, you will have to back up at a snails pace to get back to the fairway or cart path (GPS on the carts controls this). The course itself is awesome. It has numerous elevated tees (particularly #'s 4, 7 and 10) that are great fun to play (assuming you hit it semi-straight). The condition of the course is wonderful, especially the greens. They can be quite challenging, as they are fast with multi-tiers. The food in the club house is superb. They even have a hot dog bar for which they'll make your dog to order. The cart girl makes the rounds, bringing cold brews and shots of fireball. What a great place. $65 may seem a bit steep for Fresno, but you are getting what you pay for. Prefer this course over the nearby Dragonfly (the old Riverbend). Fore!
